The Full List of Nominees for The Game Awards 2018

The full list of nominees for The Game Awards 2018 was passed along to us today. You can check all of that out below.

You should know that The Game Awards will be held on Thursday, December 6 at the Microsoft Theater in LA at 9PM (ET). You can vote for your favorites right now at TheGameAwards.com, via Twitter Direct Message, Facebook Messenger, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and the official Game Awards Discord server.

All of that seems really odd and they did not specify how to do any of that, but there you are. I even tried to ask my Google Home "how do I vote for The Game Awards" and it had no idea.

You will be able to watch The Game Awards live on December 6 through YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook, Mixer, Steam TV, PlayStation 4, Xbox Live, IGN, GameSpot, Polygon, MLG, and Caffeine.tv. Believe it or not, there are actually even more places still not yet announced where you can watch it, especially if you live in China....

Smaller Shops Reportedly Won't Get Red Dead Redemption 2 Until November

This is an interesting story to share with you today. According to a new report from Kotaku, smaller retail shops will not get any copies of Red Dead Redemption 2 to sell until at least November. This information comes from a number of small retail shop owners that Kotaku interviewed recently. These "mom and pop" shops have stated that they have been told their distributors won't be able to get them copies in time for release. One such store owner is Zach Gieg, the owner of a small chain of shops in Pennsylvania. Gieg reportedly spent over $3,300 to put up p...

  • IGN Pulls Nearly All of Filip Miucin's Prior Work as Investigation Finds Multiple Cases of Plagiarism

If you haven't yet heard, IGN recently fired their Nintendo editor, Filip Miucin, after it came to light that he very, very closely copied a review for Dead Cells. Miucin's video review was for IGN while the review he very apparently copied was from a YouTube channel called Boomstick Gaming. Since then, most of Miucin's work at IGN has been pulled as the investigation uncovers more examples of plagiarism.

Boomstick Gaming was the first to notice the apparent plagiarism and put up a video showing off the obvious similarities....

Critical Consensus: God of War for PlayStation 4 is One of 2018's Best Games

The reviews for the new PlayStation 4 God of War started to come out early this morning and hot damn, it looks like it's a pretty good game. Alright, "pretty good" might be an understatement here because it's sitting at a 95 overall rating through OpenCritic and 94 on Metacritic. This places it in the top 0.1% of all games currently reviewed on OpenCritic. Both sites don't have any reviews that are lower than 80% as of the time of this posting. Let's see what some outlets that aren't Total Gaming Network have to say about their time with God of War. ...

    Humble Bundle Acquired by IGN

IGN announced today that they have acquired Humble Bundle. Talk about out of left field, eh?

Humble, as you may not know, often sells "bundles" of games for a pay-what-you-want price. Obviously, the more you play the more you will get on most bundles. Humble also expanded to publishing games, running a game subscription service, and they operate a more traditional online storefront like Steam or GOG. IGN says that this acquisition will allow Humble to continue operating independently. They said that there should be no significant changes to either b...

First Look at Destiny 2's Main Social Hub

IGN First has the, ahem, first look at the main social hub for Destiny 2. I mean, with the Tower getting destroyed six ways to Sunday, it just makes sense that Guardians would need a new place to show off their dance emotes.

At least one new social area in Destiny 2 is called "The Farm." We wish nothing but the best of luck to Sweeper Bot, because cleaning up that place probably won't be easy.

There will be more from IGN throughout the month. We'll be sure to relay to you what we can....
