It's being called simply Call of Duty: The Board Game and it's in development from Arcane Wonders, Activision Publishing, Genuine Entertainment, and Evolution. On February 12, those on PC, Mac, iOS, and Android will get to play a digital version of the strategy board game called Evolution. Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey was revealed this past week during The Game Awards. It is a third-person open world survival game. Original idea, right? Well, yeah, it is. See, Ancestors allows you to evolve in order to further your legacy. You do this by exploring, expanding, and doing a dang good job at that whole "surviving" thing.

At the end of March, news broke about Sony closing down Evolution Studios. The studio was responsible for games like MotorStorm and Driveclub. Early this morning, it was revealed that the entire Evolution team has joined up with Codemasters.

Evolution Studios, the development studio behind games like DriveClub and MotorStorm has been shut down by Sony. This unfortunate news comes about a year after Sony cut 55 people from Evolution.
