It's official: Electronic Arts has agreed to be acquired by an investor consortium for the sum of $55 billion. The all-cash transaction, the largest of its kind in history, will see EA becoming a privately held company as part of a leveraged buyout from Silver Lake, Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), and Jared Kushner's Affinity Partners.

Microsoft Reportedly Trying to Buy Minecraft Creators Mojang
Mojang, the development studio behind Minecraft is reportedly being the target of a buyout from Microsoft. According to the Wall Street Journal and a "person with knowledge of the matter," Microsoft is allegedly offering upwards of $2 billion for the studio.
