Electronic Arts and DICE just announced that they plan on "sunsetting" a handful of older titles. By "sunsetting" they mean that they will be taking the servers for these games offline and they will also remove the games from digital storefronts. A TV series based on the Battlefield franchise is coming. Paramount Television and Anonymous Content are readying to bring EA's and DICE's to the small screen. The Hollywood Reporter has the scoop on this one.
