  • Rumors: Assassin's Creed Odyssey Details - Set in Ancient Greece, Dialogue Options, and More

The next Assassin's Creed game was apparently leaked via a key chain (seen above). It looks like it will be called Assassin's Creed Odyssey and will take place in ancient Greece. A new report from JeuxVideoLive, and confirmed by Kotaku's own sources, says that Odyssey will serve as a sequel to last year's Assassin's Creed Origins.

According to Kotaku's sources, the game is indeed set in Greece. It will add in dialogue options for the first time in the franchise, making the game a bit more Witcher like than ever before. You will also get to play as either a male or female protagonist. Sadly, these aren't Bayek or...

    Review: Kingdom Come: Deliverance (PC)

I don't remember history being this buggy.
If there is one area that video games come up short in, it's when they attempt to tackle real-life history. Specifically, games come up well short in being historically accurate without also including a healthy dose of embellishment or suspension of disbelief. In nearly all of the games that focus on real-world history, you almost always play as some overpowered jack-of-all-trades. Yes, this includes games and franchises such as Call of Duty, Battlefield, Total War, Civilization, and even Assassin's Creed.

Thankfully, we have a game like Kingdom Come: Deliverance that comes along to not only embrace the idea of a "historically accurate" game but to completely redefine what the genre should be striving to achieve. Kingdom Come is set in 15th century Bohemia and no, you aren't some all-powerful character that somehow knows how to fight like a God and tank hits like your body was made of solid steel. You start out as a nobody named...

Assassin's Creed Origins: Curse of the Pharaohs Gameplay Preview

Ubisoft released a new gameplay preview today for the third upcoming expansion for Assassin's Creed Origins. It's called The Curse of the Pharaohs and Ubisoft provides a some story background in addition to the new gameplay footage.
Curse of the Pharaohs, the third major expansion for Assassin's Creed Origins, takes Bayek to find a mysterious artifact in Thebes, where he immediately runs into much more than he bargained for. Instead of the mortal and deceitful Order of the Ancients, he finds undead pharaohs materializing in the streets and slaughtering civilians. The Pharaoh's Curse, as the locals call it, likely has something to do with

Ubisoft Delays Far Cry 5, The Crew 2, and an 'Unannounced Franchise Game'

Ubisoft delayed three games today, though you'll only really care about two of them. The company announced delays for Far Cry 5, The Crew 2, and then dropped a bombshell by saying that an "unannounced franchise game" has also been pushed back.

Far Cry 5 makes the move from February 27, 2018 to a March 27, 2018 release. Ubisoft says that the "extra time will allow the team at Ubisoft Montreal to make some additional improvements that will bring the best, most ambitious Far Cry experience in line with the team's original vision."

The Crew 2 is moving from March 16, 2018 to some time between April and September. Their own announcement includes a quick word...
