  • Rumors: Assassin's Creed Odyssey Details - Set in Ancient Greece, Dialogue Options, and More

    Assassin's Creed Odyssey key chain
The next Assassin's Creed game was apparently leaked via a key chain (seen above). It looks like it will be called Assassin's Creed Odyssey and will take place in ancient Greece. A new report from JeuxVideoLive, and confirmed by Kotaku's own sources, says that Odyssey will serve as a sequel to last year's Assassin's Creed Origins.

According to Kotaku's sources, the game is indeed set in Greece. It will add in dialogue options for the first time in the franchise, making the game a bit more Witcher like than ever before. You will also get to play as either a male or female protagonist. Sadly, these aren't Bayek or Aya from Assassin's Creed Origins but rather they are all new characters.

It was also said by these sources that the game will be out during Ubisoft's 2019 fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2019. If anything, it looks as though Odyssey will be out this Fall since that is the usual release window for the previous games in the franchise.

Ubisoft has reportedly not responded to requests for comment. If these rumors hold true, we will almost certainly see more about Assassin's Creed Odyssey next month at E3 2018.
