For all the things that go woof, chirp, and *sound of a cat hacking up a hairball*.

Steam's Animal Fest is now live. This new Fest offers a ton of discounts to games involving and focused on animals. As usual, this Fest will run for a week, meaning you have until November 17th at 10 AM PT to save big on a bunch of animal-focused titles.

Taking a look at that dedicated Animal Fest page, I can see that there are some decent discounts going on. Want a little multiplayer...

Let's get political.

Valve just passed along an email stating that Steam's Political Sim Fest will run from September 8th through September 15th. This Fest will include discounts and demos on all games that involve the simulation of politics be it democracies, oligarchies, autocracies, aristocracies, authoritarian, dictatorships, tyrannies, despotism, federalism, republic, and so on.

That means that this Political Sim Fest will probably include games like the Anno games,...

I’m going to need those TPS reports… ASAP.

Valve passed along word that the Steam TPS Fest begins August 25 at 10 AM PT. For those not in the know, TPS stands for third-person shooter. So it's a Fest for all games that are in the third-person shooter genre.

Oh...

Oh, damn it all. Valve had the same idea I did.

As part of their press release about this, Valve also made an Office Space reference, which I'm only now seeing as I write this up. Yeah,...

Xplore, Xpand, Xplit, Xterminate, Xgonnagiveittoya.

Next week, Steam's 4X Fest will begin. This new Fest kicks off on August 11th at 10 am PT and runs until the 18th also at 10 am PT.

This Fest is for all games that include Explore, Expand, Exploit, and Exterminate gameplay mechanics. Those four are otherwise known as the "4X" genre. They're basically just strategy games, either turn-based or real-time.

You will be able to find deals and sales,...

This Fest will explode if you spend less than $50 per hour.

A new Steam Fest is once again nearly upon us. The last Fest is still in recovery but that isn't stopping Valve from getting a fresh one out the door. Starting on July 28th at 10 am PT, the Steam Racing Fest will begin.

This will offer up a week of demos, streams, and previous for all things racing related. This Steam Racing Fest ends on August 4, 2025 at 10 am PT.

When the time comes on the 28th,...

Starts July 14th.

The Steam Summer Sale just ended and Valve is like "Hey! Get those wallets back out! It's Fest time!" Starting Monday, July 14th a new Steam Fest arrives. This one is the Steam Automation Fest. Maybe you'll be able to fabricate an elaborate system that just pulls money directly out of your wallet, mails it to Gabe, and makes purchases automatically for you or something.

The Steam Automation Fest will run through to July 21st. As usual, this...

Catch the big one at the next Fest.

Steam is in the midst of its more general Steam Next Fest but that isn't stopping Valve from talking about the next Fest. From June 16th through to the 23rd Valve will host a Fishing Fest through Steam, or a Steam Fishing Fest as it were.

Get ready for a week of discounts and demos for games that are only about fishing or contain some form of fishing as as side activity. Steam's Fishing Fest goes live promptly at 10 am Pacific under...

Time to slay all those which went to sleep alive and woke up dead.

Valve just shared word on another Steam Fest coming up very soon. How soon? Next week levels of soon. From May 26th through June 2nd, Steam's Zombies vs Vampires Fest will be live. This is a Fest for all of those many games that involve the undead and living dead.

The Zombies vs Vampires Fest will go live on Steam on May 26th under the aptly named Zombies vs Vampires section on Steam. Until then, be sure...

Gotta catch 'em all.

This week, from now through until May 19 at 10am (PT), you can check out Steam's Creature Collector Fest.

This specific Fest includes deals on games with creatures and monsters that you usually capture and tame. The title of the Fest is very self-explanatory, really.

One such title that you can pick up on sale during this is Palworld. This is notable because Palworld developer Pocketpair has had to make several changes to their game...

Pushing is the answer. Just be weary of standing near stairs.

Valve says that from the 21st through the 28th of April, the Box-Pushing Fest will be live on Steam. It will be better known as the Steam Box-Pushing Fest. The event will begin and end on the assigned dates at 10am PT.

This particular Fest seems to be all about puzzle games where you push things out of the way to solve said puzzles. Don't know what I mean by that? Just check out the included trailer below...

Couch co-op is that thing that's like online but without the Internet.

The Steam Couch Co-op Fest is now live. This is a week long event ending February 17 at 10AM PT that features sales on hundreds of games that support couch co-op.

This means that you can play these games while sitting next to someone in the same physical space. It's kind of like playing co-op games online but with the other person being right there. It's how us old folk played multiplayer and co-op...

Waiting... waiting... waiting...

The Steam Idler Fest begins Monday, February 3, 2025. This is a Fest for all games where waiting is 95% of the game. If you like those types of games, you'll want to keep an eye on Steam's Idle category next week.

Given how many of these idle games are already free-to-play, there may not be too much offered as part of this Steam Idler Fest. Still, some of the big paid idlers include classics like Cookie Clicker, chill idlers like Spirit...

Think fast, act faster.

As promised, the Real-Time Strategy Fest is now live on Steam! Today kicks off a week of deals, demos, and promotions for games within the RTS genre. This Fest ends on January 27 at 10AM PT, so if you see a deal for a game you're interested in, be sure to pick it up before that cutoff date.

Taking a look at the Fest page, some of the standout titles on sale include games like Stellaris (-75%), Crusader Kings 3 (-70%), Manor Lords (-30%), Age of...

Get those fingers ready.

Valve just announced a new Steam Fest event that will kick off on Monday. Starting January 20th and running through until the 27th, Steam's Real-Time Strategy Fest will take place.

Move aside turn-based strategy games, it's time for the faster-paced real-time strategy genre to shine. This Fest is all about those tactical combat focused games where you cannot pause, you cannot think, you can only do.

We don't know just yet which RTS...

Valve is cooking up another Fest.

On November 11, Valve will kick off the Steam Cooking Fest. This will be a week's worth of sales and demos on all things food and drink related.

How Valve didn't make a steamed hams joke in their press release is anybody's guess. Maybe they included a reference to it in the announcement video, seen below. ...
