If that post was directed at me wheelow let me tell you, I'm not going to shuffle through 920 some odd posts of bickering, whinning, and crying to find one intelligent post dealing with what I'm asking. If you aren't talking to me then forget what I said. And thank you Hank, I believe I did all that when I installed each game when I double clicked on it(when it was grayed out) and now they're all lighted up. Now to find steam.log. >_<

I've been having Steam run smoothly lately, but one problem is that it consistantly kicks me off AIM. Is there a reason why Steam always kicks me off AIM when I go play cs?

Argh, all my games are grayed out and when i try to dl them it doesnt work.

you're probably using a non original hl cdkey, ie dod retail, cs retail

Ok, ill say this in detail.



1. Installed it, excited but expected some problem.

2. Did all the stuff.

3. While uploadin CS, Steam has a huge fart and dies.

4. Retries and nothing works anymore.



And it was a Halflife CD key, wasnt even asked for it.

It reads it from your registry. I'm no one has mirrored the individual cache files and be done with it.

I downloaded the cache file to reinstall steam and im STILL getting the same fkn problem : Steam KICKS ME OFF MY ADSL CONNECTION WTF?????!!!!!!! really great damn program! FFS It runs 1.6 sometimes but the others it makes my router drop the ADSL connection.

Yea i know that, but i figured all i need to do is delete my account from the database so i can start fresh again, but i cant even do that.

I talked to my admin and he's currently on vacation and can't deal with the problem.



I did some investigating and found the entire server is down, probably from all of our overloads, I suspect everything to be working by morning.



If not, call me a nerd and throw a shoe at me.
