They took the bots out for now because offline play isn't available at the moment. Why bother making the planet download even more content when it's totally unusable right now?

Ha, that's what I was thinking when I read that...People still play es_ maps?

ok someone a while back asked about changing stuff maps models etc even in tfc you can do that just add your custom stuff to this folder



C:\programfiles\steam\steamapps\(youremaillogin
)\(modname)\(short mod name)



so for cstrike you go



C:\Programfiles\steam\steampapp\email@email.com
\Counter-strike\Cstrike



and put the files you want changed in their i.e. models maps and other stuff(copy stuff from the old install)

Since STEAM did not incorporate any of my custom maps has anyone heard how you add new or old maps? In the config.cfg is says to save all customized commands to userconfig.cfg. I created one and place it in my CS folder but it did not work. Does STEAM use your current H/L,CS configuration on startup? Sure would like to know. Last, maybe this is a stunt by STEAM to get us all mad. So Counter Strike:CZ will look like paradise. Ya think?

Has anyone else heard about 1.5 servers going down in two weeks?

I downloaded off fileplanet, which took me 5 FUCKING HOURS, and it worked fine for me. Also, since this is my first time playing 1.6, all I have to say is that the riot sheild is the most noobiest thing I have EVER seen, shame on VALVe, I oughta slap them for putting that in the game. Also, I don't see whats wrong with the new knife model, I actually like it. The new animations are way better.

Ok. I downloaded the steam with CS already in it, i installed it and then it wont even connect to the steam network, this is really pissing me off i waited in line on fileplanet for like 7 years and the damn installer deleted my 1.5... (im retarded and picked the same file) so now im screwed. why wont it connect to the network??????? help for the love of god.......

Remember, you're one of probably thousands of people trying to connect to the network...there's only so much bandwidth to go around. Just keep trying, it seems to be getting easier tonight...at least it was for me.

I have been. but everytime it doens't even try. as soon as i open steam it says "Error: could not connect to steam network." I realize there are thousands but it doesnt' even seem like it is trying...... Please help.....

Yeah mine was doing that early this evening. If restarting your system doesn't work, I'd suggest going to bed and trying again tomorrow. Steam's a pain in the ass right now, but it's going to be running great in a day (or three).

lol ready to play in 145 minutes but it keeps going down a bit so hopefully it wont be that long is there any way to speed it up?

Ya i've rebooted a bunch of times with no succes. before when i accidentely dled the tiny steam file, then updated CS it updated all thru the night.... then it got fucked up and irriated me.... this is a bunch of fucking bullshit, i just want an update file not a whole new god damn system and shit...... im going to need therapy pretty soon.... lol

i dunno but i dld steam then it froze on something about cache so i uninstalled steam and reinstalled (from same dl mirror) and now im updating cs and i havent been asked for a cdkey yet... but on my cs update it keeps going down and its to 65 minutes right now... so lol maybe itl only take bout 20 mins.. i just hope i dld the right steam file (it was one of the mirrors listed on here)
