I'm going to completely uninstall my Steam and CS and then restart everything. Maybe.

When I try to download/install CS, the prompt will show up, and then disappear and won't do anything.

Is it just me. or is steam a huge resource hog? It seems that even my 3.0 gigz pootah (which i know isn't god) can get bogged down on certain things for 15 min at a time. Is this happening to any of you?



edit: Certain things ie: Pressing the monitor button and waiting for 10 min for the monitor screen to pop up.

For the "Steam Network Down" error - just make a new account. It worked for me, when it wouldn't login to my beta account.



Now I'm converting to the cache. We'll see how that goes. =\
