Its been delayed a month and a half. You'd think that would be enough time to do all this testing.

Well, it's just a pity they couldn't have let us know sooner. It would certainly have saved us from a whole lot of bitching from angst-ridden teenagers, spamming the various boards and comments.

They will obviously ignore the multitude of emails they are bound to receive, but somebody has to open every letter that arrives!

Now everyone is gonna wine and claim the company is gay. Being a public Beta Tester is not your right, it's a privlidge, they can just cancle the Beta being public at all if they want.

I agree with both you and renegade below. People are not ENTITLED to do a public test. You are not ENTITLED to play this game. They're doing what's best for the game and community, and I applaud people that do that.

Hmm, if they want to get serious people to beta test they should have sign ups and all that looking for people who have beta tested in the past. That and have an age limit of some sort but then again, I doubt that will happen.

I agree, but then people would just spam "WHEN???" The whining and criticism is going to come from a lot of places anyway. VALVe just doesn't hit release dates. Usually their updates rock though, and that's more important to me.



Either way, "shooting for" is not a release date. It's a "we are going to try to get it out by then but it might not happen." And it didn't happen. VALVe set themselves up by even posting a date at all, but the bigger factor here is that people are even stressing over this.
