Then refund everyone's money who ask's for it and still give the content out for free?

How hard can that be, all you need to do is give them your cd key and barcode and in 4-6 weeks you get a check back for the booster packs..

Wow, you really don't know much about business do you?

Not only would that be hugely unfeasible due to the extra costs associated with doing the refunds (let alone the refunds themselves), shareholders would actually go mad.

Your idea will never, ever, ever happen. Lol, i still can't believe you suggested that, refunding customers money so they can give away the content free.... i mean, seriously now...

Euro Force and Armored Fury were some of the best investments I made into this game.
I have more than got my money out of those mods and the maps alone. I still laugh at all the people who have basically missed out and flat out refused to buy any mods at all.

Euro Force is a tricky one because although there are not that many servers which really ticked some people off, the ones that were there had plenty of people.

If they are not going to give Euro Force away than they might as well do a massive discount $5/$10 download cards. Honestly I think Euro Force is gonna stay where it is and BF2 with hopefully some revolutionary mods will keep everyone busy.

I want more EF/AF players flat out.

Yeah, really, when I sit there and think how much it costs to go see a Sh*tty movie and how much time I got out of EF/AF was a much better investment. I mean come-on, $10? That is so flipp'in cheap. I can understand people don't want to have to ask for the CC to buy another game...and yeah, DiCE could have gave out the maps...But I really wish they would have released the add-ons, then been a bunch of bastards and released several amazing maps for "Free" for EF/AF and then people would have been like, wah, wah, wah, they want us to pay for 'free' content.

But hell, it would have been great to get a few more maps with the A-10 or some more maps with the German/UK Tanks.

It would have been a sneaky marketing tool too. Hell, SF is still going strong and that had about the same amount of maps and it was more expensive then both AF/EF together (but hey, I have a physical disc of that game too now though).

Honestly though, I'd like to see some conversions on DiCE's end that would allow for more people to play SF/vanilla on the same server. But that is what is kinda nice about SF...you don't have near the childish players that you have in Karkand IO servers.

Speaking of...I think I'll go fire that game up!

Consumers complaining wouldnt have a leg to stand on and it's been done before by many game developers, including EA companies.

They technically ARE giving the booster packs away now , along with SF addon, with the latest releases of BF2 that retails at about £12.99. Your rational means I am entitled to claim the £38.98 difference between the prices I paid 2 years ago for BF2, its expansion and it's boosters.

Again, if it makes the booster maps and factions more playable among the community of course it's a good thing. Those of us who purchased the boosters years ago have had our "exclusive" purchase period and some of us may learn a costly lesson.

Nope, there is a clear difference between reducing the price and giving it away completely free. I would love to see the booster packs given away free, but, i don't think it'll happen.

You can get all the BF2+SF and all boosters for $20-$30 now depending on where you live so quit you itching about getting the boosters for free.

For Hardcore Mode, make it unranked like the co-op we have now, just make it a choice. Blackhawk guns...they more or less fixed the AA, they boosted the .50 cals (mounted) damage and lowered the Blackhawk armor, so through us a cookie, the flying fish does better now.

That's not the point. As it stands the boosters are hardly played and releasing them for free would undoubtedly increase the amount of people playing them. I don't want to go paying £x for a booster with minimal people playing it.

However, I agree with Alex. I doubt they will ever be released as part of a patch.

Maybe they could do what they did for TF2. Make it free to download for a few weeks and let everyone have it via EA downloader. Then, after a couple weeks have gone by, start charging again for it.
