What are you talking about? You act like no one baseraped before and it's a new thing? It's been done since day one and we all learned to cope with it and get around it.

I'm sorry you only play 2 hours a week and feel you are being abused because of that. This isn't "BF2 for People Who Don't Play Often". It's BF2. Sometimes you get owned, sometimes you own. Part of the game, part of any game.

And if you are focusing on the sniper kit, I think I understand your problem better now. From someone who plays a bit more than you, take this advice: Stop playing sniper as a primary role (if you are). Every other class is better 99% of the time in almost any situation.

But what is the point of spawn camping/baseraping? It's boring, you're killing your opponent before they can do anything. It's no challenge and you are not proving how good you are, because the opponent has NO opportunity to respond.

And to all the 'It's war' cry babies - get f**ked and grow up. It's a game, not war. You probably have no idea what war is you mollycoddled little weasels.

Once the enemy is down to their uncap flag, leave it alone. Defend your flags, let the poorer team get organised and defend your territory. It will make for a longer, more interesting game and you will prove your superior skills be keeping the opponents out of the game, whilst giving them a chance to get back in it. Maps like Wake, Gulf and Dalian are good examples. Drive the USMC off the beach, and then see what they can come up with.

Back to sportsmanship, on an interplayer level, a few nice comments ingame between players would be a good place to start. Congratulations on promotions or good shooting. It's nice to give/receive these sorts of comments, and it gives everyone a warm fuzzy feeling that spreads to other players.

If it is early in the round, & you are already baseraping them, & they have no other spawn, the question of how good you are has already been deteremined

Chess is a good example, in practice we would win, & then let a guy "take back" his last 3 moves, to see if he could have got out of it

If the guy did get out of it, it still wasn't a win

But never in a real game

I don't play sniper most of the time for your information.

I was trying to play as an engineer and as a special forces soldier mainly. You don't need to apologise to me that i only play a couple of hours a week. I'm very happy to have a life thank you.

I'd much rather play occasionally than have a video game rule my waking hours. As someone who has played video games for the last 27 years I don't need to have you explain that some people are better at games than others. I'm sure there are people who have baseraped for a long time. That doesn't make it any better. Its not exactly playing a game in the spirit intended. Anybody could sit there and wait for people to spawn before blasting them away. That doesn't make someone a good player. That just means they've too much time on their hands.

What the F U C K is with the incessant uncap camping and raping ? I have nothing further to add: no insightful comments about how we could improve the situation. In fact, I'm at a loss for words...

I've always found that you could really know people by the way they play: the psychology doesn't lie and unfortunately, behind the facade of education and modern-day conditions, most people are little more than savages, anxiously awaiting the moment to exploit any situation to their advantage. Such a thing as fair play doesn't exist, it seems. Like wild animals, people need to be controlled and kept in check, otherwise they will revert to primitive behaviour... it's sickening.

If trusted members of the community could have admin on every server... my goodness, what an incredible thing that would be.

to be frank, the only problem on BF2 that is not balanced is claymore whoring, which nearly kills karkand as fun (unless youre the bunny hopping sniper that is).

tank whoring (or apc whoring) on karkand, mashtuur and sharqi is also a tad bit of a prob, which could be fixed by giving 2 teampoints for destroying enemy APC and 4 teampoints for destroying enemy tank. only if an enemy was in them recently, doesnt count if nobody in.

Ya know what... a map maker should release some maps for the folks that enjoy raping mains. No flags. Just one uncap main base per side. That way you guys can just go to a server and rape each other. Maybe EA can even have special servers set up with these special maps... EA RAPERS 13C OFFICIAL. i can see it now. Bout 3 people in each one, bombing and c4'ing nothing. Should be a hoot.

I dont get spawn camped, very often. If its to the point where its out of hand.......there is a button, that says, disconnect. Thats what I do. 3,000 servers out there. I play to have fun. If its not fun, i leave. Very simple.
