What the F U C K is with the incessant uncap camping and raping ? I have nothing further to add: no insightful comments about how we could improve the situation. In fact, I'm at a loss for words...

I've always found that you could really know people by the way they play: the psychology doesn't lie and unfortunately, behind the facade of education and modern-day conditions, most people are little more than savages, anxiously awaiting the moment to exploit any situation to their advantage. Such a thing as fair play doesn't exist, it seems. Like wild animals, people need to be controlled and kept in check, otherwise they will revert to primitive behaviour... it's sickening.

If trusted members of the community could have admin on every server... my goodness, what an incredible thing that would be.

People can say whatever. "ohh I play how I want, it's a viable tactic. blah blah etc."
I hear people saying they are becoming bored with BF 2 because they ahd gotten all the medals and there is nothign else to do. They always 'own'.
Well anyone can own when you just sit there in a tank camping a spawn point and not capping it. It's up to you to make it challangeing. ever try and be first in the game without using any armor and use only transport?
And yes, I also believe youc an tell a lot about a person by the way they play, and what they are most worried about in such a game.

Long time players, tired of the game.
ALi G`s posts of medics who refuse to assist teammates.
The posts about stats ruining the game.
Commanders complaing about a lack of support fromm their teams.

Doesn`t give one much hope for the future generation.

What maps specifically are you talking about? If it's on maps where both sides have an uncap then I have no problem with not attacking the other teams uncap provided they don't attack mine. However, if we are on a map where my team has no uncap and the other team does, you can be damn sure I will attack their base. Now, I'm not going to try and take out people as they spawn, but I will destroy any helo or plane that I get a crack at on the ground, occupied or not. I can't stand hypocrites that will attack a cappable enemy airfield, shooting planes and helos before they can take off, who then turn around and cry about "sportsmanship" and "playing fair" when someone does the same to them at their uncap.

If I am a medic I help alot.. same as support.. If commander I will remind my none team mate corperating team that we would have one if at least 10 people worked together..

But I am aight wit it........ Not really but what can you do when you got morons playing a beta game..

1 thing I do is let all my ppl in armour know that if the basecamp BEFORE taking flags, or spawn camp when we are behind, & need flags that they will not get any supply crates from me

Giving your all and repeatedly bombing/camping spawning players are two markedly different things: there is honor and sportsmanship in only one of them. Prove your skill and let the other player off the carrier or airfield: if you can successfully take him out when the deck isn't stacked in your favor, have pride in your accomplishment. Otherwise, you're nothing...

Oh, and before you mention hopping in IGLA/using AT to counter their attack: get real. We all know that's something they always take care of prior to doing anything else.

I was playing a mod (nations at war) today and people were base raping in it. I was ****ing amazed. Its obviously great for points but wtf is the point of it in a mod. Cant they just have fun killing people that can put up a challenge?

I'm not sold on the "don't rape the uncappables" school of thought just yet. I do see the point about it being a disorienting situation and therefore the enemy is exploiting your weakness due to the game mechanic.

However, I also look at it as if my team had worked together more effectively or simply performed better overall, we wouldn't be holed up with only one spawn point. And if we are holed up at only one spawn point by an effective enemy team, I feel they have the right to exploit their advantage they worked hard for. They pushed us back into a corner and now are commencing on the beating we deserve.

It happens to me when I'm out done, and I do it to others when I outdo them.

I've also broken out of being based raped. It's a different mindset and you don't do what you normally do. It's a mad dash of luck to try and get out. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. In fact, I find most times my own team is to blame more often than not for not helping to break out. They dig in and try to defend the uncappable... wtf? What are they defending? Get out, run like mad and try to get another point capped ASAP.

I dunno, like I said, I see both sides of the issue. But I'm just too indifferent to care one way or the other. I try to know the local server rules I play at and simply respect them appropriately... Don't like base raping? Find a server that doesn't allow it and only play on it when admins are present. Not too hard of a requirement to find if you ask me.

Personally, I'm more annoyed with the whiners than any game mechanic itself.

Perhaps naively, I believe in the air challenges: I see the constant bombings and attacks on airfields/carriers as a sign of fear from the other players. It may be unconscious, but they're afraid of competition and would rather go for safe points rather than real challenges.

You must live in a cozy fantasy land if you think server rules mean anything. Unless a server admin is actively performing his role and ensuring rules are being followed, you can bet people will be exploiting like crazy...

I dont support attacking an uncappable base unless its done to destroy commander buildings. In public server, its all about fun in the gameplay. You can do whatever you want in clanwars. DOnt bring similr mindset in.

I did not spend £40 on a game just to be told what i can and cant do

Wait a sec, I play Nations @ War sometimes myself and they have Anti Base Rape guns at the Uncaps, how in the world were you being Base raped with this great feature installed?

Ah, I thought you were talking about when you are cornered and have no other choice.

If you are complaining about when you find a spawn is being raped and you actually choose to continue to spawn there and continue to get raped when there are other choices to spawn at, I'm sorry. I really have no sympathy for you. First thing I do when my uncappable is getting raped is move to a different spawn, work out from there. If the focus is my uncappable, then that means I can more easily get other flags.

I'm sorry, fantasy world or not, I love this game. If you don't, find another. I'm just trying to point out that perhaps there are other ways to look at things rather than just complain they aren't how you want them to be.
