If you are complaining about when you find a spawn is being raped and you actually choose to continue to spawn there and continue to get raped when there are other choices to spawn at, I'm sorry. I really have no sympathy for you. First thing I do when my uncappable is getting raped is move to a different spawn, work out from there. If the focus is my uncappable, then that means I can more easily get other flags.

I'm sorry, fantasy world or not, I love this game. If you don't, find another. I'm just trying to point out that perhaps there are other ways to look at things rather than just complain they aren't how you want them to be.

I can easily switch spawns, but that's NOT the point and it doesn't fix the problem! I love this game too, and that's why I'm concerned with these increasingly popular raping/camping tactics: sooner or later, you will lose all of the quality players and be left with nothing but exploiters. Enjoy it then, if you can...

While i agree with what most of you said about camping uncappable bases i also must say stop your bithing it is a game people can do what they want

I'd be more than happy to get in and cap a spawn point, but every time i do i get nailed by Artillery, so as long as there is artillery, i will spawn camp.. It's called self preservation...

You've completely lost me then. You recognize an easy solution exists, yet you still feel overly compelled to justify your complaints against the tactic. I'm at a complete loss of words. I'm starting to remind myself why I tell myself to not normally participate in these threads where someone is just complaining it isn't going exactly as they want it all to.

I was playing a mod (nations at war) today and people were base raping in it. I was ****ing amazed. Its obviously great for points but wtf is the point of it in a mod. Cant they just have fun killing people that can put up a challenge?

You died at your uncappable, wah. You do know that you have a gun too, right? Or maybe that rare thing called spawning as a different kit to deal with the threat? Imagine that, guess that education thing you spoke goes away for most people when playing BF2, and people who whine about camping and do nothing about it in the game are as much proof of that as people who exploit anything they can. (and no, base camping isn't an exploit)

Spawning elsewhere is not a solution. Preventing people from baseraping and uncap camping, however, solves the problem: proper server administration is rare, so another solution is needed. As previously stated, I propose universal administration rights to trusted players: this way, regardless of where they play, if something is amiss, something can be done to remedy the situation. Does this help you understand my previous post or shall I find another way of explaining myself to continue this discussion ?

Another quick observation: everyone here seems very quick to criticize and place blame on the commentator instead of acknowledging that a problem exists. Your suggestions are akin to asking that one turn around to ignore the pink elephant in the middle of the room. I was mistaken in thinking that any good would come from creating this thread...

other team does itself 'good' by spawn raping you - game mechanics are flawed, and in these mechanics disrupting someone at the start is the easiest and fastest way of winning. it hasnt got anything with fear of challenge [want challenge? try to stop a truck with bare arms] or sportmanship [lack of it]. and as far as i know, there is even fun factor. similar to raping infantry with choper. they also cant fight back.

game is flawed, it was flawed with useless AA [but no flyboys cried about it], it was flawed with pkm [and it is still messed up - assault is useless], it was flawed from the start with fixed spawn points, and lack of spawnshield. and lack of spawn protection in un/capable bases. few POORELY placed LMG's can be justified as 'spawn protection'. when it comes to ground defence placement [AA for that matter, too] DICE was briliant as a brick.

to end it, anyone bringing teamwork into equation here is a pure, lazy, fat hypocrite. teamwork does not exist in public games. newer on scale greater than 'i and my budddy/buddies from a clan'. as we all know it can have a huuuge impact on a 64player game. yeah right. 3 people working together. yeah right. so stop using this flawed argument - teamwork. it does not exist.

game mechanics do not promote it nor reward it. all it counts is score. 'global one'. because game was designed around ranked gameplay. not teamplay.

and btw. i can live with being spawn raped. i leave server, and join another one - this is only way of solving it with current tools. and btw. dice/ea does not care about it - they gave us a ROE and they done their job. now it is OUR fault we dont abide the roe. their hands are clean and are not going to do anything more about it. the fact that roe is largely ignored, and most players dont give a damn about a set of rules they dont know of. and enforcement organisation [someone is on power trip i think] is as capable of standing up to its job as a fly to travel to moon.

ps. ive read your 'trusted players' solution- yeah, power to the people. and WHO is going to choose trusted players? community? [all of it? uhahaha] or some pre-trusted community members [maybe even founder of this briliant idea?]. this idea is flawed at the start, simply because most players you would trust i know nothing about. and i dont trust that your vision of well admined server is similar to mine. etc. etc. etc.

because if you have an option to spawn elsewhere to avoid being raped it is your own fault if you keep respawing at the same hostile location

Just stop whining about stuff that will always be in these types of game

Somebody has already said NATIONS AT WAR MOD has anti base raping guns to help prevent this and while this is a good idea and works 95% of the time it wont stop people trying to base rape
