changing it back wouldnt change wake at all. i slaughted so many bhs before the patch.

Not really. I never had problems beacuse ATA was not very good. But do what i said before.. it will give us a chance

I keep hearing "wake" as sorta the excuse to make the BH better. But to be honest, im the worst pilot out there, and the rare times i've taken it on wake, i've made it to the peticular flag that i have wanted to get to.

Here is where the problem is.
Your airplanes/fighters, should be attacking other airplanes/fighters. And of course helos. However knocking down other planes should be job 1. If the other planes are too busy being chased or killed all together, that leaves the blackhawk in for a fairly nice ride. Another thing. Arty/ or attack helos should be knocking out AA. In other words if the TEAM was acting more like a TEAM you wouldnt need some uber traveling tank to escort you to a fighting destination.
Which brings me to another point. Perhaps a game such as BF2 is simply too much of a good thing.
I have more fun on maps with zero planes zero copters, and zero armor. Good ol' fashined First Person Shooter, Multiplay. Air and Armor, in my opinion only chips away at the fun of many, for the few. Thats just my take on it.

I don't think you're being very objective about the issue.

Yes, I took down a fair share of BHs previous to 1.2 (especially when on the MEC side of Mash... made it my rule to hunt them), but I felt while flying that there were plenty of times where I got away when I had no right to be airborn. I'm consitered a skilled 'Hawker (as demonstrated by the fact that people still get onboard when I fly post 1.2) and I'll openly admit that it was overpowered before.

Now I feel that it's underpowered, but not because of it's armour. Rather, because it's role has been reduced due to over nerfage of it's firepower (which also did need to be scaled back).

It's IMPROTANT to look at the other suggestions I made, as well. Specificly the seemingly un-related issues involving reducing plane armour along with AA and plane cannon damage. That was a very carefuly consitered suggestion.

You can not tell people to go after other air to help out the team. Everyone does whatever they want to do. On 1.12 people said the same things about air but it never happened. The BH and all other trasport helis need to be re tweaked to give the normal troops a fighting chance

see ^^^ post. unfortunatly, this is true. In an ideal world, Jets/bombers would bomb enemy tanks/APCs constantly and on command, and run AA runs to take down opposing jets. This isnt an ideal world. We can suggest to our pilots to do this, but unfortunatly,if they just wanna kill troops in the back of the map, and take down opposing air if they get the itch, then they can.

Hehe... if you check out that vid I posted, you can see a good example of the .50 cal not really being much of a fighting chance. About 3/4ths of the way through the vid, I got a little lazy/stupid and attempted to hover-cap/troop drop at the abandoned village. There was a dude in a jeep RIGHT THERE putting .50 cal into me at pointblank range. He chased me off, but I don't think I honestly should have survived. I farked up and shoulda died for it.

Thats actually the point I was getting to. People dont want a "fighting chance", people want a 1:1 chance. Against anything, with anything. Which is sad.

Exactly the problem.

Also, even if enemy jets hit other jets all it takes is a halfway decent chopper team to down a BH easy...but of course thats a different story.

Obviously from this poll, more people want the BH changed (even if not changed to 1.12 state) than left alone.

make the armor what it used to and keep the cannon nerfed.
