Agreed. The most fun I have ever had on BF2 was being a gunner in a blackhawk. It felt so real when you worked as a squad.

what was real about it. The fact that you were virtually unstopable, as you rained hell on people shooting nade launchers, apcs shooting at you, RPG's firing at you, buggies shooting at you..while still you just hung out and killed everything in sight...grabbed the flag, then went and did it again, and again. That wasnt fun. Stupid, at best.
Dont you all remember how everyone whined cuz you could repair the thing in flight?
Pre Patch blackhawk was one of the most hated and bitched about topic EVER in this forum. Ever. And now you want it back???

I don't agree. Ive seen guys shoot the BH directly at me now and it doesn't do anywhere near the dmg it did before.

I would be fine to move all choppers including MEC and PLA choppers to 1.12 BH stats...

Ahhh but thats because it probally didnt. Probally one of those super Ghost AT rockets. If everyone was on the same page...a copter on a map has zero chance of doing ANYTHING. They all can be taken down with ease. Again, providing you got at least one squad on the ball. Yet you still see all copters owning at some point.
If you go back to the ol' Blackhawks....you take away the ground game again.
And for what, so 7 people can sit in a blackhawk on Maash, while the other 28 people watch and die? To think this is a good idea, i can only assume your stay here within BF2, cant be much longer, and you just want a good time raping before you leave. Other then that its rediculous to even think such a thing.

I doubt that. If you hit someone with the blachawk it does damage now.

If he wasn't doing damage to you, he was missing. The problem is that people seem to be under the impression that a Vulcan does some type of "Splash" damage. It doesn't, it's just an outrageously fast M240-B. It still has to hit you to log a kill; yet in reality one hit would probably truely equal about 200.

Yet. This isn't reality, the blackhawk shouldn't be a viable fighting machine, it should just have it's Armor upped to an outrageous degree so that it can transport troops. Well, transport them without fear of one Jet taking it out with a simple dive "missle spam" raid.

Can a mod post here and tell these guys how on certain days, 75% of all posts were .. "I HATE BLACKHAWKS" and "DICE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE BLACKHAWKS!!" I mean YOU, the COMMUNITY got the Blackhawk nerfed, in the first place.

Just bump up the armor on the transport choppers and let them do their job ..... transporting troops from one spot to the next. These things should take a beating and be able to get their crew where they need to go and get the pilot back to his base or next waypoint.

They should not be flying gun fortresses though. Leave the guns alone and up the armor a bit.

Ofcourse our opinions are guided by our own experiences. Nevertheless, if you have ever experienced a US team that couldnt make it back onto the shore, it's actually quite depressing.

It sucks for the defenders because they die of boredom, especially if there are 200+ tickets that have to bleed down ever so slowly. And I cant imagine it being fun for the attacking team especiallly when they are constantly having to spawn back on the carrier.

With the new AA even if BHs were back to old armor and guns they would still go down real fast...

It should have been nerfed. A blackhawk is "NOT" an AttackHelo. It's a Troop Transport that can double for limited Air-Support while it inserts and extracts. Not a all purpose flying tank of lore.

It just needs more Armor so that it can make this pinpoint insertions and extractions. As it stands, a fully loaded blackhawk is just "free kills".

Thats exactly the problem.

When I fly jets on wake as chinese I feel bad for all the people I kill in the helpless BH trying to get to shore. Its so easy to rack up kills just killing the poor guys trying to get to shore.

And I feel the problem about the chinese team dying of boredom. That always kills me.

Personally I wouldn't mind if the transport choppers were flying fortresses.....
