Uh, guys, quit complaining (those of you that are). Firstly, in reality if a tank shell did happen to hit the side of your AH1, chances are you'd be ****ed.

    *Ahem*

I agree with those of you who are glad that ground units finally stand a better chance against aircraft. No more will we have a blackhawk just circling the power plant on Mashtuur at the very beginning.

Okay, it may not be brilliant. But can I remind you a lot of people wanted this patch? I was quite fed up of the innaccurate shots from an MG while prone. If you ask me, it was no different to standing up or kneeling. I think it's good - as someone said earlier (sorry, quick reply) it means Support units can actually lay down some decent covering fire (apologies to those who managed to do so beforehand!)

Anyways, that's just my two cents, so-to-speak..

(That basically means no childish flaming etc)

patching right now, if the AA is so deadly they did wrong, the great thing about BF2 is the feature to have all vehicles and even air vehicles, but now when every noob can just shoot down anything with AA it's just wrong

We used to play hide and seek: now it's hide and ... oh, go f-ck yourself and here's an AA to do it with. ;-)

I was already damn good with the helo turret, so I guess the one good thing about the patch is that I won't need any TV's or pilot assistance to take down other choppies.

Yes! and thats was how it was for us ground folk. Got to the point where you would go on foot, to be a smaller target. But the jets see and kill you. Thats why I stoped playing maps with jets. There was no point. Im happy that you are seeing it from our point of view. Have fun.

Kinda wierd flying a helo with 6 less rockets too.... seems I always used to use the first 4-6 to line up my shots at longer ranges... now that doesn't leave much to hit stuff with! haha, time to turn up the skill level on my piloting.
I remember the 2 netless weeks I had. Focused on flying the chopper and all that. Whenever the OpFor got higher, his gunner shredded my chopper. It was extremely frustrating. God only knows what will happen now. Judging by that "OH WOW" "HAHAHA"... Jesus Christ.

Finally we will see this skilled pilots in the air and the non-skilled wannebee pilots on the ground (with or without plane). After a while the best pilots will be the ones fighting in the air and the rest will be on the ground. This is how it should be like. Much better then having 25 people waiting for one plane and 2 people driving for flags.

I'll agree with you here... On a map with bombers, getting in anything with wheels was pretty dangerous. But shouldn't it be? If am getting blown to hell by the F-15... then I walk, when I take a flag and hear the F-15 I RUN! Isn't that part of the fun? Always having to watch out for your surroundings whether they be right there in front of you or screaming at you at mach 1? Its fun for me. I don't mind being killed. Its a part of the game.

Plain wrong. Seeing things from both sides. (Enjoyed infantry combat very much, but sucked at it, I admit it) I can tell that evading getting killed by a jet is EASY. I got more killed by infantry, and got more frustrated by it. Tanks, APCs, better infantry players. THATS what ticked me off. Most of the people who wine just cant stand that they have lesser score.

Ive always known this would happen eventaully if the whiners complained for long enough.

The good pilots are shocked at the moment but dont worry they will adapt...

only problem is the not so good people that liked to just fly occasinally will no longer be able to fly so this patch has took the fun out of the air and turned into a place for serious gamers/pilots only.

In a way its good because no longer will i have to fight with noobs for a jet, but beware once the good pilots have adpated there wont be many places left to hide

Well IMO, Dice has done a good job with this patch.

I remember on this one map, can't remember the name, but all they do is sit in a black hawk totally whoring it and getting like 140+ score.

I'm from a Counter Strike background (still think its the best game in the world), and i like a good gunfight on the ground, which is why i only play Karkand.

I'm also happy they made the M203's etc. less useful. Bout time those g-launcher whores stopped. Now they can get pwned by people with TRUE SKILLS.

                            Er, who is the dumbass?

It says in the official EA website that the grenade launchers' explosive radius was decreased.

That's a fine piece of character suicide right there.

It also says they fixed the red/blue tag bug yet I have seen a friendly running around with red tags.

perhaps you should think before you go quoting EA's ********
