Maybe you should check in the hospital first if you can't read. I did say "If you feel useless". Useless means of no use. Someone who is good both in the air AND on the ground is useFUL.

And anyway, if the balancing of the jets make you just so upset, then f**king WALK!

Sloi, these guys usually get owned on the ground all day no matter what is in the air. It seems like payday for them, but little do they know... They will probably get owned even worse by people like you n me.

Have you played it? Do you REALLY think that it can be described as the "balancing of jets..." (or airpower in this case, because all airpower has been reduced)

By the way... Sloi is a chopper pilot, like me. You know... the ones that really care about the ground pounder.

Actually, I'm quite an alright chopper pilot. Can't say so much about jets, although I do enjoy flying them and I'm getting there. But I don't mind that I'll be a harder target. That will call for better team strategy and more pilot skill. BTW I don't get "owned" by planes that much, not more than anyone else. And I know the jet hugger patterns, so I'm not there waiting on the airfield in Wake.

Man, all those pilots crying. It's like taking a toy away from a baby. Right away, instant reaction.

Feeling useless because your preferred vehicle is no longer a viable way to support your team does not imply that you lack the necessary skills to fight on the ground. Rather, it can simply mean that there are others doing the same land jobs equally well: air vehicles, on the other hand, are used properly by only a miniscule portion of the BF2 population... which is why it's a shame to see them taken out so ridiculously easily now.

Eliminating jet and helicopter pilots, relegating them instead to ground positions, can be devastating for the team: by placing them in jobs that everyone can do, you're creating more pawns that may or may not effect real change in the battle situation.

We will see, I think that because airplanes have the ability to gain altitude so quickly that more experienced pilots will be able to use that to their advantage.

Take off, go 500 up... drop bombs, refill... repeat. Might have to drop them from higher and will be constantly checking their butts for fighters... I'm just upset that the slower, less maneuverable helicopters met the same fate. Helicopters don't have the luxury of going 500 up and getting away from the AA's. Everywhere a helicopter goes on a map there is AA. Sure there are places you can hide, buildings... some trees and such, but I don't really see it as fair. You might be able to get away from one AA, but definately not from an AA and a FAV. A FAV straight on, if you miss him and turn around.... you're blown before you even get back to facing him. Helicopter vs. Helicopter air fights.... PFFF HA! Watch this vid... I'll upload it hold on.

                  They could've done it otherwise.
Remember the good old Stinger in DC?
Why didn't they give AT a Stinger?

It's true what some of you say regarding the pilots, but hell, they are needed as well.
I hate those lam0rz too when on wake 7 men are camping @ the planespots on the carrier while the rest isn't able to get a spawnpoint on land, but imo EA/Dice took it too far by making Airvehicles this weak.

Again, i hope there'll be a new patch shortly after the release of 1.2 where they change some point back as they were and implement a Stinger for AT.

Now this dude understands. It's quite different than rapid non-stop take off, fly at 200 feet, drop bomb almost point-blank, repeat, without ever fearing of being taken out.

What was that movie again about the Bay of Pigs crisis a couple of years ago? That jet pilot got locked on above Cuba. Tried hard to avoid the AA, but the missile eventually caught him. That's how it is. Well, sometimes you can shake it off, but flying shouldn't be as easy as it was before 1.2.

Don't be sad, it's not like any of you are going to lose any points for exploiting us infantry soldiers for all these months, you just have to deal with fairplay.
                        100% agree.

Will also blance out the regs for the badges. I cant fly, so I'm really screwed now. Not that I ever see a empty jet. (maybe soon)

Pretty bad isn't it! HAHA.... ya, that was Sloi lauging.... me gunning, going OMG.... are you serious? We actually had a fight in the air (he didn't have a gunner) and my turret destroyed him. Kinda wierd flying a helo with 6 less rockets too.... seems I always used to use the first 4-6 to line up my shots at longer ranges... now that doesn't leave much to hit stuff with! haha, time to turn up the skill level on my piloting.

No, son. Youll just get shot down by an AA before you can line it up. I really dont think anything that has anything to do with Air vs Air requires much skill anymore.

n00bs wont be shocked in awe. Theyll get up, fire 6 missiles blank and crach, collecting the kills. A gunner had to be an artist, now... oh well.

If today is bad, hell **** no. Whats going to happen with this forum tomorrow.

Ya you're sick... that was the thing I looked forward to in every battle (getting face to face with another chopper), but now... its going to be over so fast it won't even be fun.... Thats IF we can even get halfway down the map past the AA!!!
