An easy patch? Sure a mod team did it, but it hardly sounds like an easy patch. Right now, you're voice depends on if your a commander, squad leader, or a regular grunt. For female soldiers, they'd need to add another factor into it. Besides, each side has only two soldier models, so they couldn't just make the medic female. They'd need to do all the light armors or heavy armors.

Mmmmm... so androgynous. Women sounding like men. Men sounding like women. Scary...

I know several female gamers who actually don't feel like playing BF2 simply because THERE ARE NO FEMALE SKINS/CHARACTERS.

I'm not going to play any star wars games because there are no earthlings in it.

Female engineer would rock. Like in battlestar galactica, they have engineers and pilots.

I don't see a problem. It's just a game.

Women have also been in fighting roles in many cultures for thousands of years. The Vietnamese, for example, have a legend of 2 heroic warrior women Generals that conquered most of south east asia.

Geneva Code restricts females in the armed services to support positions...

Nowhere in the various Geneva conventions does it state what roles women are allowed to fill in war. This is totally at the discresion of the various nations' laws and regulations.

alright, i'll give you that, but show me a country in NATO or otherwise were they give a woman a gun and tell her to point man. I'm talking modern times not Soviet Female Snipers or Middle Eastern/African Militants.

and we know the USMC doesn't give fighting roles to females, pilots are a rare and very little excpetion, MEC wouldn't due to them obviously being Muslim (nuff said), and PLA wouldn't cuz they're Chinese (nuff said)

Um... because we're chinese? whats your justification on how just because they're chinese they won't use women in their military? they DO have a female miliatry contingent; lemme tell you that. They're as tough as the men there and march along with them. No they may not have a huge female contingent, but there is a female contingent nonetheless.

you said it yourself though...she was a convoy...which means her first priority isn't too fight, they're trained to fight to survive, but they are given support jobs to avoid an imminent confrontation with the enemy.

:laugh: Ok tell that to some female soldiers in Iraq. I'm sure the difference will matter to her. You're getting shot at, whether she's infantry or an MP, driver, cook, nurse, etc. it doesn't matter. Plus your "theory" doesn't include all the female COMBAT pilots in the Navy, USMC, and USAF.

Well, there you go... they all have guns including the women, and if they don't like you- they will shoot you. I've seen Chinese female military excercises before- they use the female physique to their advantage- they can get out of armlocks so much easier because they are small and more flexible, other than that- women are known to be more calculative than men (thus why- when men are being killed by women- they tend to be killed in their sleep). Women make great marksmen and war-operators.

Girl models... ridiculous. Like I said before, Probably less than 1% of BF2 players are women. Its a game, deal with it.
