OK, well i dont think its that big of a deal but if girls are askin for the skins then why not? it would just boost there sales and such. Girls wait for the mods to come out, oneof them should have a female skin. But this is also like someone in a wheelchair saying why dosent bf2 have any guys in wheelchairs that i can be. It just simply isnt needed.

I think EA needs to add some Female soldiers to this game. its a easy patch.

That would be cool. However, easy? I highly doubt it. Nothing is easy when it comes to fixing or upgrading things in this game.

Personally I play BF2 for abit of stress relief after a hard days work and don't use it as a dating agency to find 'girl' gamers - so I'm not bothered either way - I guess its the lads who want to w**k over their screens whilst listening to dirty talk on Voip :p

Dummies... Yall need to get your girls playin like I did.. That way there be NO back talk when you sit infront of the screen all night, every night. Who cares whats real or not put some damned girly skins in and be done with it. Not to be too mean but I think its fun to kill women...In games i mean.

I work in the industry so i might have a little perspective on this issue.

A new girl model would require more then just a new model and textures. If her preportions were different It would also require a complete new set of animations which is a huge memory hog. That could be part of the reason.

But I agree that a girl character would be fun.

Not how bf2 works, all bf2 character models are attached to one main animation bone system, the animations just move the bones which in turn move the meshes with it, all the animations are shared throughout all models and such same thing for weapons animations, one set of animations for all models, they just control the movement of the bones in the character model.

thats exactly my point. If the preportions were changed for a female model. (Yes girls have different preportions) You would need a different animation set. Thats why all the BF2 characters are the same height size and preportions.

You could always make a manly broad shouldered girl model I suppose and make it work

Make an option in the login menu if you're male or female..then when you join a server, select your kit, you just have the skin change....nothing major, just boobs and the different face...

I know several female gamers who actually don't feel like playing BF2 simply because THERE ARE NO FEMALE SKINS/CHARACTERS.
Having female charcaters in a game is a real issue for female gamers, and ignoring this is irresponsible.
There should be some effort to include a female character in all armies in BF2.
After all, the vast overwhelming majority of BF2 players could not give a damn about "REALISM" or authentic depictions and representations of real world unites/armies/weapons.( I am not one of them, I WANT the best possible realsitic features for a PC game possible)
It is a bad move to neglect female players, there is no reason to, and in fact it is bad business sense. Females count for MORE THAN 80% of ALL Electronic PURCHASES.

What do you think this means to a business?
Anyway, from a personal standpoint, the only female in my squad I am in will NOT play BF2 because she feels uncomfortable "playing as a guy".
Why should she play BF2 when there are other games that she can play just as well and as a female in game??

On that same note, basically do what they did in BFV with the different skins you are able to choose with each class (race, clothing etc) why not do that with race, gender, and maybe clothing, but i dont see the clothing thing happening.
