Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Joking aside, I know its easy for me to say as a bloke but does it really matter?
Sometimes I'm a white person and sometimes i'm a black person and sometimes i'm PLA and sometimes i'm MEC. All I see is the gun i'm carrying at the time. When I look at other players skins I don't wonder what I must look like and I can't see it being any different for female players.
EXACTLY! Everyone is going to be bitching about how baggy the uniforms are. Come on people, just play the damn game.
At least in the UA Army female soldiers are not allowed to be in the frontlines.
I spent 10 years in the US Army, both combat arms and combat support. There are no "frontlines" in modern military operation. U.S. military doctrine emphasizes maneuver rather than attrition. As such, many if not most military occupation in which women serve can find be (and often are) involved in combat. In my own experience as an intelligence collection team leader, my team, which included women, was frequently involved in combat. While direct action against the enemy was not our mission, when the bad guys find you it makes little difference what kind of unit you are in, and even less what sex one happens to be. As for the larger question, whether or not females should be allowed in combat, I have my own opinions, but make no mistake, US service women are “on the front lines” every day.
EDIT Back to BF2! None for the classes in the game would be females, at least in the U.S. Army. In my opinion female skins would be kind of silly. My earlier point was just that women service members today are often in combat.
Here's an idea-
Just like they have the (^v) button to change between unlocked and basic weapons in the spawn map menu, they can have the same thing to change between male and female. that way, you can play as a guy on all characters, and you can play as a girl on all characters. Maybe someone should email DICE (the manufacturer of the Game, EA just published it) and suggest that for the next expansion (after Euro forces)
Who you gonna be?
:shoot: Girl or guy? :ar15:
Unfortunatley, when this may happen, some perv will prob make a mod where either the girls are all nude or they are stacked. (Just a thought don't hurt me ladies)
I don’t have a problem with girl skins but I think is should be limited to support and medics only… Yeah, that’s right, I went there… “B1tch better have my ammo!” Besides, if the skins look anything like most of the women that play BF2, they are going to look pretty Butch.
Wow I'm guessing not many people on here watch the news. There are LOTS of female soldiers in Iraq who have been in combat every day. Heck one US Army Sgt., who was female, won a Silver Star for making a flanking attack on insurgents attacking her convoy and personally killed about five of them. There are no front lines. Then, as someone mentioned, there's Navy and USMC female pilots flying combat all the time.
I solution to all our girl/guy problems: make all skins hemaphrodites. Guy AND Girl! I mean, how politically correct would it be then? you CAN'T go wrong with the moustache or goatie and breasts and curly long hair.
*Jokes*
Nah, I do think it would be great if female skins were included from the start- perhaps we may not have to have so much prejudiced comments and jokes as "women are made to serve men as nurses and ammo carriers". However, I doubt there'll be anything to patch this anytime soon; perhaps BF3...
Geneva Code restricts females in the armed services to support positions... supply lines, mechanics, instructors, medic (not field medic). I doubt all female characters want to do is fix tanks, behind front lines....be a medic, behind front lines...you just wouldn't get any action...or stats....

you said it yourself though...she was a convoy...which means her first priority isn't too fight, they're trained to fight to survive, but they are given support jobs to avoid an imminent confrontation with the enemy.
Well... damn. Hey, well just because women don't have as much testosterone as us- don't mean they can't fire an accurate shot or that they're unable to run with a load of equipment and munitions.
Thats just the Geneva Code... THIS is BF2 :P
An easy patch? Sure a mod team did it, but it hardly sounds like an easy patch. Right now, you're voice depends on if your a commander, squad leader, or a regular grunt. For female soldiers, they'd need to add another factor into it. Besides, each side has only two soldier models, so they couldn't just make the medic female. They'd need to do all the light armors or heavy armors.
