Ok wtf. You guys are going ape**** over something irrelevant. I'd spend that $400 on a 7800GT. A lot more bang for the buck, And you should have a little bit left over.

On the 360, I myself apply the six month rule to everything.

Would it be worth it even if you put it on a relatively old system (~1 year)?

BUILD YOUR OWN SYSTEM. you can have an alx for 2000$ if you build it yourself! dell and alienware charge huge amounts of cash for systems that you could build yourself and save. its not hard, not hard at all. If i wanted a new comp, i would go to new egg and get:

XG DRAGON ATX CASE
DFI XPRESS 200 ATI CROSSFIRE MOBO
AMD 64 X2 4600+ Dual core
ati x1800xl 512mb
4 gigs ram
x-fi xtream music

When the x1800xl crossfire edition comes out, get it to and crossfire them.
