On the 360, I myself apply the six month rule to everything.
Would it be worth it even if you put it on a relatively old system (~1 year)?

    Pentium IV 2.8 GHz
    2 gigs of Ram

BUILD YOUR OWN SYSTEM. you can have an alx for 2000$ if you build it yourself! dell and alienware charge huge amounts of cash for systems that you could build yourself and save. its not hard, not hard at all. If i wanted a new comp, i would go to new egg and get:

        XG DRAGON ATX CASE
DFI XPRESS 200 ATI CROSSFIRE MOBO
        AMD 64 X2 4600+ Dual core
        ati x1800xl 512mb
        4 gigs ram
        x-fi xtream music

When the x1800xl crossfire edition comes out, get it to and crossfire them.
        2500$

My interest in playing FPS games on consoles dies quickly when confronted with their controllers.

I always get carried away with self builds... All the best cooling, and cables and the fastest harddrrives... It still adds up..

Noted the required 'u r a geek n don't get laid' insult in a game forum. Todays quota has been filled. Thank you. We'll appreciate your input again tomorrow.

$2000-$2500 for a new PC? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Batman! :hmm:

Why drop that kind of cash on a computer when we all know how fast PC components become outdated and devalued? If you REALLY like BF2, especially if you REALLY like BF2:SF, why not take that two grand and buy one of THESE: http://www.impactguns.com/store/FN-FS2000.html

That's right, kiddies, the Uber-unlock FN2000 is going to be released in a semi-automatic, civilian legal model in the US in 2006. You can even take the money you have left over and buy a suppressor for it (yes, that's legal too, with a BATFE approved Form 4 and $200 tax stamp).

To parody Ash from the movie "Army of Darkness"
"PC, XBOX, I'm the guy with the gun."
