You need 18 for expert. So how bout this, 1st between you and the Mrs to get 18 wins, of course if its on our server you will have the BR file to prove it and maybe make a vid out of it!

Just been on this server, and WarGimp is damn right. Had loads of fun, and was in a squad that actually worked as a team! Shame my mic wasn't working though, but think I've got it sorted again now.

Will join you guys and girls on it again in a bit, if my PC stops restarting at the map loading screen :p

Now don't take this the wrong way (not declaring noob or cheat or anything of the sort) - I am asking so that I know for reference, and possibly for server setting that we don't have.

In the knife video - all your tags were showing like hella far away, and through objects etc. Is that typical for in game? Or is that just the BR doing that to the tags? I know you can set distance for how far tags can be seen, but usually if the player is in a building or something, they do not show. This was not the case in the video of kOwnage.

If it is the way they are in game - I am coming to your server to earn my expert knife - heh.

I'm pretty sure the BR does that to all the tags.

See I could have quite easily shot you and if I said "owned" that would have been immature for sure! Plus you will see the term "Kowned" is catching on and others using it when they knife someone too. The golden rule on our server is watch your back, keep moving because otherwise someone will stab you! Plus I like to taunt people before I stab them, so if you hear Go Go GO or move it, you know what's coming next!

Hmm your BR problem is strange. I have never had a BR file crash my BF2 before. Can you give me your PC specs, do you have an ATI vid card? It may help me in tracking your problem down.
                    My specs are:

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ running at 1.90Ghz (overclocked from 1.8)
1024MB ram, 2 sticks, cant remember the brand.
ATI 9600 Pro, latest ATI drivers, Catalyst 5.11

thanks for any help you might be able to offer :)

:) hehe..Its BR m8 ..in game you dont see it like that. Its only after you have downloaded the BR file that you get that view. Its quite good to look at one(BR file), you get a new perspective on how close the enemy is at times and you just didnt know it

My vid was shot using BR footage. In BR footage when using player chase cam you can see everyone's tags from any distance. You will also notice that the USMC side is always blue and the MEC side is always red. Funny thing is when you are playing in game and you think the coast is clear and then when you view BR footage you are amazed at how many players are near you.

Our server view distances are stock standard.

2 things stand out 13th Raptor in your specs A: your PC is overclocked. Try setting it all back to stock specs and trying again. BF2 is more sensitive to oc'ing than any other game

B: you do have an ATI vid card and they suck for BF2. Do you get random CTD in game. Do you get graphics corruption which requires you to reboot you machine to fix or exit game and restart?

Good to know. I figured it was due to BR - especially because we were following a red player for most of the time while he was killing Blue.

Never been able to get a BR file - so I will have to do that at some point - at least to evaluate my own game.

                              One more thing to add:

If you want a server where people will stick around, find a way to post your server's rules before people connect to save them the time of connecting, reading your rules, and being subjugated to the rediculous ones. Ever connect to the "we'll ban you if we think you're hacking" servers? That's an advertisement of an immature (read: not socially mature instead of not phsyically mature) admin.

I tried the first.. to no avail. secondly, BF2 runs fine on my card, never have any engine issues.
