Ah... another fun night on the server! I got some friends in on it this evening and had a blast all round.

Hehe, who says Blackhawk whroing is dead, eh? We owned in that thing fer awhile.

Oh, as for the C4 skills... I think getting a fighter off the ground and seeing "Mrs: I should, shouldn't I?" gave be a cold chill, just before BOOM!

Will have to check this one out when player count is low on our server. We also run 24/7 - about 3-4am until about 2pm is a lul in player activity.

Glad to see many of the R2 clan have chimed in on this thread - good to see they are active here in the forums as well.

Yeah Thanks to all for come to our server. If you can not get on. Join us on TS and if we have some idle players we can make some room for you.

Our server stay active 24 hours a day. unless we reboot then the number will be down untill everyone comes back. But that does not take long at all. Everyone that comes back to our server over and over respect ours rules. but there are a few that will test them but we would rather you not try. just play the game fair and there will be no probs.

I played on the server today, it was pretty good compared to other clan servers i have come across, but im not convinced about the maturity of the admin i came across, i mean, who says "kOwned" when he kills some-one?. Anyways, good server, and im going to pick apart these battle recorder files, if i can stop it from crashing.

Kowned is for knife owned, we are a bunch of knifing junkies sorry. Knifing and saying kowned is totaly different, then killing someone and just saying owned. Doubt anyone from our group going to say owned for shooting someone.

You only have to see some of the knifing vids on our site to understand kowned :) I guess it just an r2 tradition now to say it, though I always forget tooo.

Anyway, Im glad you enjoyed the server, good luck with the battle recorder file. Im hoping the crashing you are talking about isnt referring to those. I personally dont have any probs downloading or running them but if you are having some technical issue on your side let us know and we can sort something out for you like direct ftp links or whatever it takes

When people are shooting at me with guns and I stab them, I use that term. I have never ever used the term "owned" just because I kill someone. If you watch some of our knifing vids you would understand that everyone elses uses guns to kill people well where possible we will use a knife. Its easy to kill people with guns, its hard to kill people with a knife when they are using a gun against you hence the term Kowned. Also when you get multiple knifes in a row its Kowned x2, Kowned x3 etc. Its more of a running joke amongst our clan members, a tradition if you will.

I assure you I am a mature admin, and I'm sure there are plenty of people to back me up however this game is meant to be fun and a little taunting along the way never hurt anyone. Plus you may notice 99.9% of people who got stabbed won't respond, the .1% that do you know you cut them up literally :laugh: Like you didn't respond! Sometimes we only use a knife for a complete round and I have gold medals from using a knife only! The only thing more embarrasing than getting knifed is getting shock paddled and if you see us saying "Shocking" you get the idea?

You wanna be worried whenever <<R2>>PSI is playing because he is by far our best knifer, with over 800 legitimate knife kills on our ranked server, no there not from stat padding he is just insane with the knife!

See that's the skill involved in knifing people, them not knowing you are there. I have chased people from 1 side of the map to the other, only for them to meet up with their squad then I knifed the entire squad. See I could have quite easily shot you and if I said "owned" that would have been immature for sure! Plus you will see the term "Kowned" is catching on and others using it when they knife someone too. The golden rule on our server is watch your back, keep moving because otherwise someone will stab you! Plus I like to taunt people before I stab them, so if you hear Go Go GO or move it, you know what's coming next!

Hmm your BR problem is strange. I have never had a BR file crash my BF2 before. Can you give me your PC specs, do you have an ATI vid card? It may help me in tracking your problem down.

We had a couple of people today say they had lag on our server. I will say that our server will never,ever lag, EVER. How can I be so bold as to say this and in fact guarantee it will never lag? Look at the 1st page of this post for my 1st response. I gave the server specs dual xeon 3.0s, 2gig RAM, 100mbit pipe. Only 3% of that 100mbit pipe is being used. CPU resources have never, ever run higher than 80% ever. What this means is that our server will never ever lag period.

If you experience lag like a couple of guys said they did tonight, when everyone else on the server said they had no lag at all, I 100% guarantee its client side. I live in Australia, for me my ping is 197ms to our server, it plays like a LAN game for me, smooth as silk. However my PC can handle BF2. I have 1.5 gig of RAM the people who said they experienced lag only had 512mb and the map was Daqing Oilfields (the most grunty of all maps in BF2) If you only have 512meg of RAM I suggest you don't play 64 player maps or you update to atleast 1.5gig!

Also Punkbuster has updated in the last few days. If you experience lag or connection problem warnings this is due to Punkbuster being out of date or like I said your PC just can't handle 64 player maps due to lack of RAM or your vid card sucks. You "MUST" update punkbuster manually. I know pb is "supposed" to update automatically. I also guarantee our server is setup correctly to pb guidlines to update automatically however it doesn't always work (not our fault even balances fault) This is not our fault and is out of our hands. Golden rule of thumb if you experience lag or the dreaded connection problem warnings you must update punkbuster manually. To do this visit this thread on our site http://www.r2clan.com/modules.php?na...ewtopic&t=1166 download http://websec.evenbalance.com/downlo...ws/pbsetup.exe (right click save target as) place pbsetup.exe in its own folder. You DO NOT need to put it in the pb folder like you had to for pbweb.exe thats old school now. Run pbsetup.exe , make sure it finds your BF2 location correctly then simply click check for updates. Watch its progress to see whether it updates to a new version of pb. Make sure you check regularly for future pb updates also. In fact to make sure check before you play BF2 each time to make sure.

I stress again I guarantee our server will NEVER EVER LAG EVER PERIOD! 48 players had 0 lag and 2 had lag and 1 who had lag have never had lag on our server before. UPDATE PUNKBUSTER, UPGRADE YOUR RAM TO 1.5 GIG+ otherwise I suggest you play 16 player maps, but you may still get lag if you don't update pb manually.

My first time getting "serious" abut stickin people and I got 17 pointy kills in one round.
It was sweeeeeet.
