Í've already mentioned this, but if your in a damn tank, then its your responsiblity to watch out for people running in front of you, its not their fault, they can't see you, you don't own the damn roads....

If I ever take a tank, whenever I'm around people I'm very careful about trying not to run over people. Most people are not, they simply think they own the roads and everyone should get out of their way.

As for mines, well thats a different story, you shouldn't punish for that.

This is the correct motorcycle.

Living on a farm, growing up, we were always taught that the guys in the tractors may not see you. Therefore it's up to you, as a bag of water and blood, to be aware of the tractor. That way, you don't end up looking like an uncooked french-dish.

It's far easier for foot-troops to be aware of the hard stuff around them.

stupid thread in my opinion. lol. It all depends on the mood that I am in whether or not I punish for the tk. I have no sympathy for Tkers. It isn't that hard to not tk. I have less than 50 in my whole time playing this game.

I have over 400 TKs most due to idiots that think Commanders arty is a free invite for drinks and sex, so are attracted to it like moths to a light, or they run infront of your tank, APC etc already moving and get run over or they run over my mines I have placed to protect a flag or I am already firing at a target and they run infront or the fact that the AA is aload of crap and I get TKs for missiles that think friendly helos/planes are the things to hit rather then the Enemy helos/planes.


I do not punnish for accidents or if I run over there mine etc, thats the only oath I will swear to.

lol how nice of you...and you wonder why you rarely see engineers put down mines anymore. At least I don't personally...same with claymores....just like the AA missiles, they seem to kill more friendlies than enemies.

I like the idea of either 1) changing the symbol for mines/claymores/c4 so that friendlies can tell the difference between them, or 2) change the color of the crossbones for each one, like example: red=c4, blue=claymores, and green=mines.

But explosives wise...thats why i use c4 for anything anymore...just because teammates are 90% more likely to get me a TK than to kill an enemy with them.

I take the oath and will live by it untill BF2 becomes no more.

I also will include another oath:

I solomly swear that I will hunt down and make their ingame life a complete misery to the likes of StlouisSniper [and his statements].
After I've been punished and I remember to spot their name in my anger. I will spend the rest of the round making sure they TK me and I will punish the living hell out of them, until their minus score teaches them some humanity.

I had a Master Sergent punish me for a [mine] TK. That really got me hot and he got many a F word in text from me for the next 5 minutes. People with that expirence should know better.


People get scared, freak out and shoot the next person that jumps out on them at point blank range. Its not their fault if its me. Always forgive.
New players [bless them] are unaware and thick at times. But forgive them, for they know no better.
You get switched teams 4-5 times within a round and you TK cos your mixed up with whos who. Do the right thing; Forgive.
Take into account that sometimes people show up as RED as well as their names being listed on the otherside. Understand their reasons for shooting you.
I forgive reguardless if they say sorry or not BECAUSE, some people jusy dont know how to use the chat commands AND they might be in the heat of combat and are not aware of their TK or are too busy kicking ass to say sorry right now.

The idea of people punishing cos other people to the same, is very weak and show wot a sheep they must be in real life. Grow some balls and dont follow the thickos.

And finally.

Are you kiddin? In real life would you forgive someonefor an accident? I don't think so! Same rules apply here.

Your head needs examining. Or even better, to be removed from society. [with or without your body]

One other thing. Don't punish pilots, because u decided to run into a base with 10 enemies in it, thinking you will somehow magically kill them all and capture it all by yourself. The single most annoying thing is when you bomb a base, killing 5 or more enemies and one lone friendly that u didn't see, and then getting punished for it. Respect the airpower; most of the time, control of the sky is what wins the map.

Like pilots win the map, what a joke! I dont punish pilots but your statement is a laugh, ground pounders like myself who take flags and kill on the ground make the difference, dont ask me how many times I have seen my team without a flag and the last player is a jet jockey and they do **** all except die without a fight. (and if you actually hit the ground, your useless anyway)

If you bomb a base that I am trying to take on foot with a squad, I WILL punish you for not giving me a chance. (besides how the hell do you know how many I am up against if there are no vehicles?)

On the other hand I rarely punish TK's, but sometimes you get so frustrated when you dont even have a chance to apologize and you have been punished so many times.

I am getting to the point of not forgiving but really what does it do? You still get a death, the other player probably didnt do it on purpose...BUT there are so many careless players...yet punishing them will get them a temp ban...thats it. So whats the point? revenge? They are on your team, unless some one is actually TK'ing on purpose, forgive them and get on with the game.

I am a firm believer in not punishing for accidental tks. I believe that 99% of the time that is the case. But, the other day I was tk'd about 5 times in a row and it was obviously not accidental. The last was so blatant I started raving about it. I had jumped in a tank and my teammate looks at me then starts laying mines directly in front of me and this was in our home base. The admin kept posting messages about no tking on purpose but knowbody got the boot.

Accidental, Helos, Fighters, Commanders, and anyone who sends up a quick sorry gets no punishment from me. Sometimes idiots who do it on purpose deserve it.
