One guy I was shooting at was a complete nutcase. He spotted me and started bunnyhopping, then dolphin-diving to the ground, firing a couple shots, then jumping to his feet, then to the air and jump-strafe right, then jump-strafe left, fire a few rounds, dive to the ground, fire a couple shots, runs out of ammo, then hops around like mad reloading.

I try not to waste my ammo shooting at him while he's jumping around, and carefully place my shots. His short bursts however overcome me and take me down.

I don't know if I was madder at being killed by this crazy ass bunny-hopping, dolphin-diving spastic player, or the fact that I was forced to watch this disgusting spectacle of diving, jumping and proning.

The fact is that it works. But man, is it the most retarded thing to look at...

That routine is becoming the norm, unfortunately. I learned the hard way on the 24/7 Karkand server run by the Super Best Friends ("24/7 Strike at Karkand SBF").

The server is a breeding ground for that style of gameplay - so much so that I found myself doing it after only a few minutes on there. You simply HAVE to in order to compete. It was the most challenging online experience I've had thus far, but it was also the least fun.

I stopped at one point and watched a firefight (which, incidentally, looked like two coked-up kangaroos trying to hump each other) and wondered, "Is this really what DICE wanted the game to be?"

I really hope not. I also really hope that they do something about it.

bunny hoppers are easier to kill in my book...as someone said earlier the m203 puts an end to the dance. Haven't run into a lot of peeps doing it. I have the DAO unlocked so in the point blank contests it really doesn't matter if they jump around a lot as they are quickly filled with buckshot. Only time I do it is trying to avoid enemy mg/tank fire when crossing a street, hah.

Though I have to add I've been a mad q1/3 ctfer so strafe jumping is an awesome part of the game....though bunny hopping is just more trying to avoid getting hit vs. enhanced speed.

The Bunny Hop is interesting to watch. Now for my story. Picture this........I'm rolling along in one in a Type 95AA.....and suddenly I sneak up on a lone soldier in a nice open area. Imagine his supprise when I came around the corner............Yip you guessed right "BUNNY HOP TIME". I watched him for a bit with a grin on my face. Once I had enough i turned him into hamburg.

Dude...That bunny hopping has to be the most noob thing you can do...or the jumping and going prone in mid-air...i couldnt see nebody in real life doing that with no equipment on let alone in full combat gear...maybe thats why Im sticking with the sniper...most of the time they dont even see it coming...

Most of the CAL teams use it. It's a way to keep alive even for a little more time so that person can kill the enemy. Its a tactic thats legal but annoying. As long as people use it to their advantage it won't go away.

Wouldn't it be so much COOLER and FUN if they just made the weapons more accurate (hence, LESS bullet spread. so you get much tighter groups overall) AND you got more Primary Ammo, AND gave EVERYONE Body Armor (except Snipers, who by definition do NOT go into Close Quarter Combat)?????

How could ALL THAT NOT be FUN??
But, we don't have that. That's why ppl go prone or bunny hop whenever in a firefight. Which is silly.

But this is why they do it.
Accuracy is programmed to be BETTER when PRONE.
Bunny Hopping is lame and noobish, but you jump 8 feet in the air and vanish while shooting the enemy who has to take the time to find you up in the air.

Modify the jumping, so players aren't forced to do something so lame just to win.
Modify the weapons, so players have the ACCURACY they NEED to win in a firefight.
Modify the LOadout, so player have enough Ammo to get the job done.

Bunny Hopping = Z axis exploit. I see you doing it and you're a target from then on. Kill them damn bunnies before they breed. For , like bunnies, such no talent ******** spreads quickly.

Call them out in "j" say all, bring to light their stupidty. Hell offer a bounty on their skins.

But burn them down no matter what...

There's a squad/guild of canadians I ran into the other night. Everyone of them had their lil label on and were rampant bunny hoppers.

Got my highest score ever, made a night out of turning them thar bunnies into pelts for the furrier.

First off just want to say the majority of ppl who post this whiner bs usually suck anyways. And i dont care about your stats or any of that ''look at me crap''.You cant hang pure and simple,so you all say its ''noob" to hop,dive,airprone,etc?try doing all that while switching weapons,trying to aim and dodge bullets.Not that easy.Second i can shoot your eyes out with anyweapon,i will kick in the dance when i need to, i will do what it takes and not feel bad,cry all you want cause its hitting deaf ears.When i turn a corner and i got three guys there, i will hop,flying ninja that a@@, and while your are ****ed and trying to figure out where to respawn i will be finishing off your buddies.Yeah its in the game,which should have came with a straw so you all can suck it up.I never post ,i like to hear what other have to say about the game, but who do you think you are slamming ppl for thier game play.This is "lame'' that is "noob", funny thing though is the only time i see this geeky overused word in game is by some guy who got spent and has a crap ratio.So who is "noob",please stop using this word, you sound like a bunch of 12yr olds playing pokemon.

Thats because its highly unrealistic, and lame, and downgrades the level of gameplay.
