Yeah, maybe. Funny? HELL yeah. I play AT a lot and when I take down vehicles I do my best to remain hidden so they don't blow me into next week, but when you're out in the open and a tank rolls up, what are you going to do? Plus, if the drivers were smart and noticing that their bullets weren't hitting me, they could easily have just run me over with no problem. But they instead go wild with their cannon rounds while I hop my way to victory! Besides, I think since a tank vs. one non-C4 powered infantry is a bit of an unfair fight, so I'm gonna even it up anyway I can.

But bunnyhopping during a gunfight, no. I'll admit, I usually drop down prone if the person I'm shooting at is a distance away, but not bunnyhop. The only time I bunnyhop with a gun is if I have a shotgun and I'm facing someone who's prone. It gives a bit better angle of attack.

The things is, a tank vs. a non-C4 infantry isn't SUPPOSED to be a fair fight, EVER! It's just an unlucky situation, you can't win every battle.

For me, I really dislike seeing players Bunny Hop in FPS Tactical Military type games. It looks so cheap and arcade like. It always reminds me of Quake or CS or some other unrealistic arcade shooter.
Not that I want BF2 to be TOTAL realism, no, I didn't say that. I want it to be believable. But seeing players continuously jump up and down andup and down 10 feet in the air while shooting their rifle or grenade launcher or hand grenade makes me want to vomit. It is perfectly acceptable in Quake /Unreal arcade type games that have no basis on Modern Military style games ,unlike BF2.

You may say: Yeah, but they PUT that in there!"

To that I say: "It's cheap. It's low class. It works, but it makes you look like a no skill dork".

The only way I can see this changing is if EA/DICE lowered the HEIGHT of the jump. Currently the player can jump 8 to 10 feet in the air! Straight up and down! He jumps so high he disappears from the screen! He's using it to gain an advantage tha would NEVER be there in the first place.
I mean, if we can do that in this type of game, how come I can't have Jump Boots and Powered Armor and Heat Seeking bullets?

SO I ask you, dear Gamer, fellow player.........do YOU want to see this "bunny hopping" madness end or stay AS IS? If so, please post your thoughts here and let (hopefully) EA/DICE hear your voice.

All I would ask is to REDUCE the HEIGHT of the jump, and perhaps add a little more drain to the Stamina Bar so you can't keep going up and down and up and down and up and down..............forever. That's it. I don't want to completely remove the jump, AND I don't want to create a total REALISM game. Just tone this stuff down, it's lame, and a cheap way to fight your enemy.
          agreed ..
i was playing a few days ago and in game i came around a corner and saw an enemy coming at me . we saw eachother at the same time so i crouched down and started to fire away ... he started jumping up and while up in the air was going prone to the ground then jump back up . and kept doing this unitl ge finally killed me .. it was the lamest tactic i have ever seen in this game .. you talk about vomiting .. i just about did so ..

lower the height and SUCK the juice from the stamina bar while continuosly jumping .. and while in the air no buttons work until your on the ground again to stop this GOING PRONE WHILE IN THE AIR .? not being able to fire while in the air . but that is my opinion .

I think most of us have had bunnies in our sights, but usually when you complain, it means you lost the fight. Usually. I'd rather kill a bunny than have them restrict the movement. What about when your under fire from a tank and try to take cover behind some sand bags, if you misjudge the jump, you can't jump again, because its a bunny exploit to jump repeaditievely? hell no, private jump for cover!

If a guy uses bunny hopping as a defensive or offensive tactic, can you really respect them regardless of rank? Not likely ...

Just be gald they can't bunny hop tanks! :-)

Meh, I kill lots of bunny hoppers, they're usually too busy focusing on jumping to hit me (if they don't noob tube me), and I almost always pop 'em with my m95 I'm an in-your face sniper

Um I think this has been addressed already. Sever thousand times...plz drop it because we all know that EA is never going to see this post. Why bother complaining? Just suffer silently and hope that 1.03 fixes everything and if it doesn't, fut the wuck? Play another game if you still hate it so much.

i would like to see maybe you have a jump meter, like maybe you can jump and it will reload every 5 seconds instead of jumping once you hit the ground.

                    anybody agree
