    Re: The "Bunny Hopping"

well bunny hopping is retarded and most people do it on occasion but it's still aggrivating to someone who's trying to play the game the way it was meant to be played they put the jump feature into the game so you could jump over or onto things not to **** people off by jumping around like a crazed fool

all this aside i've learned that most people can't aim while they jump so i just slow down and try to time my shots so i can put the crackhead out of his misery

It's predecessor actually took time for you to go prone and stand back up. There were no dolphins or ground humpers.

Well Fandros, you also have to slam grammer, wow . Well as far as my only skills , you are more than welcome to come see for yourself, dflxtreme.com server, just ask for tc.dfl.

They can nerf it all they want, cause i really dont need it. I don't like talking ****, but I am sick of ppl putting others down for how they play, its childish and unsportsman like. Another thing ppl say it degrades gameplay, if this is the case than find a server where you can play the way you want.

I don't really care if they try to fix bunnyhopping, but I am afraid they will nerf shotguns while doing it

I can take a joke just fine, and am only in this for the pleasure, not points. I quit playing conquest a month ago, halfway through lance corporal, after the abundant lack of teamplay and ridiculous actions of kids and jacka**es. Such as bunny-hopping and tk's and the like. I only play coop now because it seems the bots ARE smarter than your average player in regards to acting like a team and doing the right thing. My joke was that looking cool while playing was meant for all those who NEED to do well by looking like the Kangaroo Militia. You should only "hop" once when you go in for the kill , not repeadetly while avoiding bullets or being caught in the open. Accept your death because someone was a better shot.

                    Re: The "Bunny Hopping"

I normally don't get involved in the age-old question,"To bunnyhop or not to bunnyhop" but I will add my 2 cents. There is a major difference between:

1 - Bunnyhopping when you are out of ammo, were caught with an ineffective weapon in your hand, or are being shot at from an unknown direction

                    and

2 - Bunnyhopping at every close encounter

I have seen this way too often and not just at Karkand either. I see guys coming at me and before either of us has a chance to start firing, he is already jumping up and down like an idiot. To me this is more of a game exploit or "trick" rather than good game play. Something that was meant to be used as a method of traversing obstacles becomes a means to take advantage of lag and screen refresh to avoid getting hit. Sorry guys, this is not skill...

One time I saw a guy doing the instaprone while jumpin, and strafing at the same time. I hate these people. I followed him, waited, SHOTGUNTOTHEFACEBIATCH! So yeah, it was worth -6 points in my book.

                        Re: The "Bunny Hopping"

                        one way to solve it:

When you jump you can't shoot.

BUnny hopping/excessive jumping, is one of the handful of reasons why i don't play this game anymore. Hope the new patch fixes this. If not, at least i'll save money on their expansion(s)..

                                Re: The "Bunny Hopping"

The most important reason bunny hopping ruins the game is that it reduces the effects of strategy and skill of those who have them.

BF2 is a game about strategy on a digital battlefield. A skilled player knows how to use cover and concealment to reach an objective and gain an advantage over the enemy.

Why bother using cover and concealment when you can run out into the open knowing that if you get attacked you can just jump around until the enemy runs out of ammo?

Why bother worrying about gaining a positional advantage over the enemy when you know you can just jump around in his/her face going in and out of his/her field of view spraying bullets in his/her general direction?

I know that many will say that this is an arcade game but why did it have to be? I think the makers of BF2 took the easy way out and made the game too similar to Super Mario Brothers.
