LMAO this is so funny because i played in those DiG asses server and i thought something was really suspicious... and i dont tend to say ppl cheat easily because i have been myself victim of those accusations just for being good....

But what pissed me most of that clan is first they all play in the same team and crush the other team in their public server wich is pretty dumb and stupid since you are not probing anything against a bunch of strangers that arent a clan or anything...

And the other thing they used like EVERY CHEAP tactic that exists in bf2142

People with vista still have problems to this day with it just because of the way vista handles 3rd party services.

I agree, most of them are probably leaving out important details. I'm amazed at the number of people that have appealed bans on our server saying they have no idea why and then when you watch the BR file and "remind" them of what they did it's, 'Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Can you still lift my ban?" even though it happened the day before.

I'm guessing that a lot of these people that none of us know except over the internet are not going to have a problem declaring their innocence to the internet masses. PB has 1327 recent bans and have lifted 3 of them. Not an overwhelming number of bans lifted if you ask me.

I helped some of these people as they all had the same problem as my clan mates while the rest of the community called them hackers and discredited them. I know 2 or 3 of them got unbanned fine. Another 2 just gave up and quit playing the game because of it.

There were a few posts in the server admin room where several clans were reporting inproper bans. I forget who a couple of the guys were but needless to say they weren't too impressed with PB either.

PBs release of their PB services caused a rather large problem as everything from peoples firewalls, antivirus's and simple admin settings on their computer were not allowing the service to be installed. If it did get installed there was still a small chance it would run properly. People with vista still have problems to this day with it just because of the way vista handles 3rd party services.

PB this past weekend was causing many people to lag out, mainly due to the fact they couldn't download the PB update that just came out. They probably had firewall or AVs running which are ment to protect their machines from random files being downloaded to their machines. There are many many people who simply do not know how to update their PB manually and I don't blame them. The PB updates just come out unannounced and its basically a prayer that the update comes properly.

This is all with 2142. I haven't even touched BF2 and any of the other games I have the wonderful delight to deal with PB issues. lol.

As far as people getting banned by PB for no reason, the only thing i have seen is the GUID problem that some encounter. For some reason BF2142 can lose its GUID causing PB to ban you for having a generic GUID. A simple reinstall will fix this and no appeals are necessary.

I have also had vista (hell I've had the 64bit version for the past 4 months)since the day it was out and have not had problems related to PB anyways. Just because you don't have problems doesn't mean others don't.

You of all people should know about vista and black PB screen shots skates. There are problems there. (may be sorted now. I've been out of the loop for a bit so maybe it got fixed).

No, simply no. Most problems I posted were due to punkbuster itself and not because people don't know how to update. The fraps problem for example only hit a fairly small amount of people. I've ran fraps for the past 3 or so years on PB enabled servers and have no been kicked as well.

PB does not wipe your stats, correct. I never said they did. When you are PB banned though EA does see this and does take action (well sooner or later ). That is what I was referring too.

I've dealt with PB problems way too many times, it simply annoys me at how poor it is. Then when it does something good (which it should be doing all the time, not just once a year) people cheer and think its great, when in reality its not. They need to fix the problems with it.

I should also state the bans lifted is not correct by a lot. I've helped at least 3 or 4 people have their bans overturned due to PBs f ups in this game alone. Why they don't show in the list though... lol well thats easy to figure out.

Pbbans is the exact same thing as PunksBusted. Please do not put down PsB. Also, we don't accept battle recordings and manual screenshots. For a screenshot to be added to our MBL, your servers needs to be streaming at the time the shot was taken.

That streaming is within a very short space of time whereas anything submitted to PsB takes a few days?

When I say manual screenshots I mean the fact an admin has to actually view the screenshot and submit it to PsB for analysis whereas streaming admins don't even have to breathe. its all automatic.

There are many anti-cheat sites out there today; most only support a few games from the long list of PB enabled games. PBBans and psb are the only ones I am aware of that supports them all.

PBBans and psb are the same in that we are 3rd party organizations that offer help to server admins that seek it while maintaining a global ban list that admins are free to use. The methods used for getting data from servers however are not.

PBBans currently uses the PBBans Hub to receive streaming data from servers which offers many features one being live banning. So basically a player gets caught on one server they are banned on all servers that are streaming to the Hub within seconds. Also has the option to make sure any player on our ban list remains off a server by checking the GUID when they connect.

WELL IM ONE OF THE PEOPLE WHO WERE BANNED BY PUNKBUSTER AND DO U KNOW WHAT I THINK............ITS COMPLETE AND UTTER S**T

I was playing one day and got a random message saying PB IMPORTANT violation (AIMBOT) 50100# and was kicked from the server i was playing on. i fought nothing of it and just joined another server. The next day i find out that my clanmate got banned for the same reason and i started to get worried. 4 days after this i get the same message on a different server, but this time my name appears on the ban list.

Of course i was not hacking and i was even recording on fraps so i have a movie of what happened.

Now im trying to get my mane cleared and punkbuster cant even be bothered to reply to my Evenbalance report thingy.

I play on the FLOT server a lot, interesting that 8 players were banned for hacking on this server. There were times when I thought funny stuff was going on, but with all the scanners it can be hard to be sure.

I am glad all of these punks are being busted!
