PB now doing its job!!!

You know, I have a question. I was playing the other day and kept getting insta-killed when coming around corners by HDA611. He was something like 50+ kills to less than 10 deaths (I know that's not impossible, but highly unlikely on Gibraltar, when the next highest number of kills was less than 20). I decided to check on him, and of course he is listed as having been caught with an aimbot.

My question is, how is he still able to play? I'm not sure exactly how PB bans work, but whether it bans his hardware or even just his key, how can he be on with the same name?

He's changing his key or something.... I just encountered him last night I think, or at least the guy claimed to be him. He was using the name I_DID_U ... and was 100% obviously hacking. I called him on it, and he didn't deny it at first, and in fact later admitted to it... and told me "cry to your mother, there's no admin on right now!".... yea... and everyone tells me that hacking isn't becoming a problem on BF2142..... but in fact, it is. It hasn't by any means "taken over" in the literal sense yet like in counterstrike or something... but it is becoming a problem. Everyone needs to help nip this in the butt... I don't want to see this game turn into CS. I don't want innocent people getting banned either, but come on server admins, if somebody thinks there is a hacker on your server, PLEASE check for yourself before dismissing it.... it doesn't take much to do a little bit of checking to see if it needs more looking into.

If I could afford to run my own server, I probably would.... and I certainly would do all I could to make sure it was hacker free.... I just ask admins to try and do the same..... just as much as they can without it becoming a complete hassle.... but alot won't be bothered with it at all and alot of the time I simply get "you probably just suck, stop whining".... which is actually pretty funny, because while I'm by no means one of the best players in this game, I certainly don't "suck".

VAC + a couple other programs loaded (zblock for example) was probably the best system for it. Although even then people get through all the time.

Sadly, it doesn't matter what program is used, people will find a way around it. I'm just glad that it is catching more of them after this last update.

Like a said before, we have removed everyone caught by PB from our clan, 2 members. happy? of course not.
And further more sogek1ng do you have something against our clan, I have said we removed the hackers from our clan but you seem to just keep whining about it, maybe we need to have a talk in private.

its just crazy that all these people are getting cought. I bet there are more, but they must not be playing on punk busted servers. If you look all the servers are punk busted lol.

So it seems if you hack you won't go on punkbusted servers. I just got off of timeless thanks Catziggy, I had 3 100 point games :)

I just wanna know which hack everyone is using. If they make their own, or just buy it like it a little kid would.

Most people definately buy their hacks. Seriously you can find thousands of hacks for games just by searching in google so it's not exactly hard to find.

The ones that make their own hacks are much harder to catch though.

Not in the slightest

We as a clan are both shocked and saddened to find we had two members cheating! We thought we had a good reuptation in the community, and this is the last thing we want hanging round us. Hopefully predator will be the last, but should anybody else be found they will recieve the same treatment and be ejected from the clan.

At the end of the day tho, theres not alot we, or any other clan can do. If somebodys hiding there hack well, or just using it every so often it makes it very difficult to spot and take action against. Hopefully pb will keep ontop of things for a while now, but it wont be long before the hackers are one step ahead again and briging us back to where we are now.

You know I didn't believe people used aimbots, I thought those guys one-shot killing me were just getting lucky with lag or random cone variation. Now I am going to be more suspicious. Same thing with the multihacks - whenever a guy seemed to have ESP I thought well there are a lot of "map hacks" built into the game with all the scanners and whatnot, but now I don't know.

You must have very low self esteem to cheat in a game where almost nobody knows who you are, and there isn't any prize money or fame to be gained. Not to mention the fact that the game is a chick repellent not a chick magnet! I see no point in cheating at this game. :shakehead:

I just use to love it when bommando and VT nerd would says people would cry hack and not that many people hack. Well its been over a week and pbbans has just as many people cought cheating since 2142 has came out almost.

I would say that there are over 1,000's of aimboters.

True they're out there but the amount that there's hacks ruining my fun in the games is minimal. For instance I've played this game since it came out and have only run into 2-5 actually disruptive hackers that ruin the game. Now I know I've played with well more than 5 hacks since I started the game but the amount that they actually ruin my gameplay in a server is fairly minimal for me at least.

For the original topic that PB is finally doing its job is bogus. PB has every serveral months released some new update which bans a number of hacks and then in a couple weeks the hack sites will just come up with a new modification and start the whole proccess again. Also the number of different of hack users is hard to tell since people who use hack generally wind-up being busted more than once in addition to there being a number of hacks who won't.

The hackers are the ones who either wrote the "hacks" or ones who wrote their own hacks. So remember that next time you go to call someone a hacker, they are not, they are script kiddies. Just helps to show how pathetic they really are.

As for their motives for hacking, I think they have an inferiority complex and pretty much suck at life, so they take it out on people who play fair in games. Just picture some fat assed nerd with coke bottle glasses in front of his computer talking about how bad *** he is while he uses his hacks, then you'll understand. Think of the WoW hacker from South Park :P

i think its the real rhino but some are saying its not but to be honest it wouldnt surprise me.. i played against him a few times and seemed to 1 shot kill anybody at times.
