Another time I had a walker pilot accusing me of hacking because my pilum did not give a warning tone before firing. No matter what I said about pilum rounds being unguided he was adamant it was a hack and kept vote kicking me.

Hands up who has not had a Retard like that. I had a walker stop beside me when I was hiding behind some object, and being Recon, over I run....

1 RDX, 2RDX, 3RDX... up goes his Active Countermeasures..... (Walker shields).

I was once accused of being a hacker cause I kept one hit killing tanks from behind without warning tones. Heres a tip, if the cross hairs aren't on you, no warning tone and if the missile hits you in the rear your screwed. There guided, means you don't have to keep it aimed at your target the whole time and if they're in a tank some ways off its not a good idea to let 'em know its coming.

The amount of hacking accusations in this game has gotten ridiculous. Everytime somebody gets killed now they scream hacker/aimbot/wall hacks etc... I'm honestly sick of it, people need to except the fact that they are NOT gods and they WILL die. Yes, there are better players out their besides you. Now I'm not saying that there are not hackers, there definitely are some, but within the last month its gotten to the point where it's hard to play this game anymore. The amount of people whining about this and that has made this game so much less fun.

That does not mean that hacking doesn't exist though, and in fact, the growing number of hackers is exactly why some of the general populous act like that.... because there are enouph hackers around (yes ones that are so obvious beyond a shadow of a doubt or just get caught outright) that people like that see them that once... or even more then that (I myself cannot count how many times I've witnessed hacking... and not just "is he hacking? or not?" moments, but outright hacking)... then they start crying the "sky is falling" because of the few they did see.

Granted I'm probably guilty of overreacting in the past.... and accused people without proper proof because it did seem to me at least that he was probably hacking.... but I don't go around slinging hack accusations around just because joe shmoe killed me 4x in a row....

But here's my point, you guys, the naysayers, aren't really helping EITHER..... just because some idiots cry hack because they get owned doesn't mean you should be yelling at ANYONE that tries to point out somebody they think might be hacking. I'd say what people need to start doing is LISTENING to people when they yell hack, and look for themselves at the person in question instead of instantly dismissing it. Now, if the person in question is showing no signs of cheating, sure, tell the guy he's an idiot and kick him from your server if you'd like..... I'm just saying that people are either not even bothing about people possibly hacking, even to the point of KICKING people for mentioning hacking (which is ridiculous).. or they are yelling the "sky is falling" so to speak and that hackers are everywhere.... neither stance is a good one.

Just so you know, I started this thread not to try and cry "the sky is falling"... it's not..... but to point out that there is a steady increase in hacking lately... and at this rate the people crying wolf will soon be correct in thier absurd accusations.... why? because people don't seem to do anything about it. Left unchecked, hackers will flurish.... don't believe me? Well I have two words for you then, Counter - Strike.

Then do this.......

Play on a Server that 1) has *ACTIVE* admins.

This is Important, most servers that are ridiculous harbors of hackers are the ones where the Admin's only log in for 10 minutes (or less) a day. (Unless the Admin is the one hacking, like a few <no i wont mention names> Clans that exist)

2) get to know your Server's Incident report facility, make sure you give as MUCH detail as you can, and where possible, submit the battlerecorder file for the round. (If your server records it), and any Screenshots.

Laugh it off as it is JUST a game, like the example I gave above, for the next 2 rounds, everyone was running around, yelling "I killed you with my Voss hax, I killed you with my Zellar Hax etc etc. Thats what I meant when he was Laughed off the server, not to mention, I think a few people specifically targetted him too just for the sake of it.

I still have great fun with Infantry maps (Cerbere, Camp), like yesterday I saw an enemy running down, so i spike a mine beside one of the beached barges on Camp, Enemy JUMPS over the mine, dives right into me with a knife, he gets up, and runs back over the mine.. <BANG !!!!!!!!!!!!>.

I just say.. "That was worth dying just to see", and we had a laugh, and went on with the game.

He posts the same **** every month about people who are supposedly hacking and I never see any proof. The same advice is given out each time that he should play on PsB servers, download BR files and get screenshots but every time a new thread emerges he never has done any of these things.

The game is not overrun by hacks, pure and simple.

Agreed. Do you any concrete evidence to support this claim? Any online will have hackers in it, it's just a fact of life. I think you guys will keep bringing this up until every single person that is playing suspiciously will be kick/banned. We're already heading down that road, that's what is ruining this game. The constant fear of hackers is driving this community up the walls, that's why this game isn't fun anymore. The amount of honest to god real hackers has been so blown out of proportion it's not even funny. I do play counter-strike, quite often actually. I rarely encounter hackers in CS, also it's not a bunch of people screaming hack after every death. Why you may ask? Because I play on good servers that are well admined and with people I know. If you join any joe schmoe server you will likely encounter the scenario you are talking about. Also, VAC seems to be doing a better job than PB is at this moment. Is it perfect? Of course not, the people who develop the hacks are always going to be once step ahead.

Totally agree, i dont plan to d/l 1.4 anymore, had it been a month ago then yea i would have done, but CoD4, ET:QW and TF2 are my games now. BF2142 is in the past.
