    Not at all.

You're also not the only heroes fan here.

As for the whole realism thing, Idk why so many people think there should be realism in every game. Games aren't anywhere near advanced enough to make me believe even the most realistic one.

Plus, based on my experiance, the more fantastical (is that a word? :p) games prove to be the most fun, because you don't have to put the more boring and less enjoyable aspects of the real world in them.

TF2 has personal stats that anyone can look at through your Steam ID webpage. However, it does not have global stats like 2142. But there is something called Psychostats that servers run and it tracks everybody's kills, deaths, and a lot more. The thing is that you gotta frequent that server. It's pretty easy to fit in with any gaming communities unless you already have one (or a clan) that you belong to. I don't think I've seen a TF2 server with Psychostats set up yet though. I don't know how it's ran but I think all that's needed is logs (includes who killed who with what) which I think server admins can already fully retrieve from their servers.

Is there a webpage where you can view your stats?
Because everything I can find on steams site requires me to have steam installed

I don't think so, the stats page is view in-game with a menu, right above options, so I don't think it's part of steam.

I would really recommend DL'ing steam though. It a background program for the most part. You can quit it when playing another game, and it only takes about 15 seconds to turn back on.

Anyway, imo TF2 is not quite fit for a stats system (other then one that tracks how you do compared to other classes). The gameplay is such that you will sometimes need to give up a life to break a stalemate (such as using an uber to destroy sentries), tbh if someone had a really high K/D ratio I would think that person's just a sniper-whore. Or maybe engi. Medics would also have a really horrible K/D ratio.

I do have steam on my gaming machine, but I am not sure that it would be a good idea to install it on my workplace computer

You are probably correct about leaderboards, but I would like to track my personal stats, to see if I improve.

                    <3 TF2.

The best thing about the game is that it plays so well out of the box that no rules are needed to maintain balance. The game just works so well.

We have a server up for TF2 if you guys wanna check it out:

Agreed, possibly the most balanced game I've ever seen.

Though, hell, after five years, it better be.

Try seven years... that's right, seven years of development into TF2. IMO was worth it because this game is very fun to come home to each night after a stressful day at work.

Well, you should have your personal webpage that you can link off of to see your TF2 stats. Most people have a Steam Community ID page made for themselves. Here's mine... http://steamcommunity.com/id/TimS

I'd play on the TG7 server, but I fear that latency would prove a problem.

TF2 is much more fun and fufilling than BF2142, and I can laugh away all my mistakes I make during gameplay most of the time.

If only there were more maps. :p

Thanks to TF2, I can't snipe properly in BF2142 anymore, since sniping in TF2 allows you to move around without messing up your accuracy.
