Nerf PK rockets. That's where a huge section of Voss users' long-ranged firepower comes from. It would make snipers/Baurs/SCARs/Ganzes a lot better equipped to take down Vossers if they weren't instakilled by rocketspam every time.
Besides, if people were meant to have 4 clips of 2 (2 rockets are about as powerful as 1 grenade) grenades that can travel unlimited distance they would be given 4x2 grenades that can travel unlimited distance in the first place.
Voss is fine: It's the synergy with PK rockets almost entirely negating its long range disadvantages that makes it hard to counter.

Forgive my horribly outdated language but that's a load of waffle.

How exactly are baur's and scar's less well equiped when they use the exact same PK's? PK's aren't only for voss' you know.

And lol, are you saying that DICE "accidentally" gave the expanded clip to player's? Well that a major f**k up ain't it?

It's also 4 clips of 4 btw, and 2 PK's are nowhere near as powerful as a frag.

Get your facts straight please

Baurs and SCARs are less powerful at <20m range than the Voss/Krylov, so they cannot cover the PKs weakness as well. Like I said, it's a synergy between the two that is so strong.
No, I'm not saying DICE accidentally gave expanded clip. I'm saying that PK rockets are a power equivalent of 8 (4 PK clips, 2 kills per clip) grenades. Except they can be fired in a near-straight line basically any distance. On top of the 3 normal grenades you already have, assuming all unlocks.
2 PKs are easily enough to kill someone. Tested umpteen times, so you can't really argue that. 1 frag nade can easily kill someone. Splash damage is similar on both.
My facts? Got me there. I don't really have any facts to back me up, only my experience playing.
I suspect each PK rocket burst does about 75 damage (from my own experience). That would put 2 at about 150. I don't think one frag nade cannot turn a body from Critically Wounded to Killed, so that must be less than 200. Maybe there is a damage difference between 2 PK rockets and 1 frag nade... but when we're talking about 150 damage vs 175 or so, does it really matter?

Whilst I do agree that Pk's are powerful, you have to hit directly to kill in 2 shots (I mean they must detonate less than 1m away), if you haven't moved at least that far away, you deserve to die in two hits. I rarely kill in 2 hits, I always fire all 4 and sometimes even that doesn't have enough splash to kill. However if I had thrown a frag (if it had been possible in the situation) it would have had enough splash.

As far as my experience goes, frag splash is a lot more deadly even on the outskirts of the detonation than PK splash.

I'm afraid I still don't understand why you think PK's on a voss are more effective though, or are you talking about the general assualt player, rather than just the PK's themselves?

Pk rocket to the head will kill in one shot:p Now that's just wrong

If you hit someone in the head with a PK, you deserve a 1-hit kill

I'm talking about the weapons working together. Greater than the sum of their parts, and all that.
PK is a very strong ranged weapon, but it can't do anything under 20 meters (unless your rocket hits them in the head, which is an amusing way to instant kill someone).
Voss is a very strong close-combat weapon, but it can't do much at long ranges.
They fill in for each others weaknesses, whereas (for example) Baur+PK still leaves you unequipped for close range combat.

why how many rockets can you take to the head? If someone hit dead on with a rocket they should get a kill....

I have no problem with the voss. If they nerf it peope will only cry to nerf the next gun they can't counter(clark1.4)

these voss threads are getting old..

I've had Battlefield 2142 now for about a week and a bit, possibly 2 weeks and I'm under the impression that people regard certain weapons, particularily the Voss, as n00b weapons. N00b weapons in the context of this game being weapons that are easy(ier) to use and can drop opponents without much effort - or apparently so.

Would it be wrong in thinking that if I were to use the Baur I should be happier with my stats? I now have a complex that if I use the Voss I'm sort of taking the easy route not to mention that if I get rubbish K/D's with the Voss I should bow my head in shame and stick forks in my legs.

You have a point there m8, however the fact that the soldier has the baur and PK's (if the soldier choses to equip them) means that they are a monster at range, and only slightly less powerful at close range because I think you'll agree in a fight under 15m its whoever fires first wins in most situations.

Unless I fire first. I always forget to reload the Baur and run out of ammo. :p

Thats your failing, not the Voss. Maybe if you picked your weapon choice for the situation better, you wouldn't have such a weakness.

Besides, there is a shotgun addition too, that covers close range just fine.

                                Wait, what? No, seriously. What?
I was talking about PK rockets and their synergy with other weapons. I said that PK rockets are more effective in combination with the Voss/Krylov than the Baur/SCAR because Voss/Krylov are better suited for closer ranges. The Herzog does not even come into the conversation.
How is it my failing that the Voss and PK rockets synergise very well together?
I never said anything was wrong with the Voss anyway. In my opinion the Voss is fine, PK rockets are overpowered and the Voss-PK synergy is what makes it so over-used.
