ps. using a mouse or keyboard when you are flying a jet can cause permanent damage on

your brain.please note that BF2 is not responsible for any kind of brain disease thats based

on a mistaken choice of device for jets.

Flying with joystick will take some time learning to aim your mg again. (if never done before). But after a while you'll do it just as easy as with M/K.

Joysticks are the way to go.

The only real advantage of a joystick is the throttle, but that is a pretty important thing to have. I still use a m/kb though :p

i dont fly as often but have practice 100+ hours with a joystick,

can easily leave my chopper hovering at 35% throttle and go make a cup of tea,and it will still be there when i get back(SP only)

also when pubbing i have a free hand to type,eat,scratch ect.

the best benefit of a joystick for a player like me that doesn't get choppers very much is the smooth movement the joystick offers makes me seem more controlled for my gunner,so i assume they assume im not a noob(if only they new!!)

no doubt a skilled veteran will be amazing with m/k but for a player that doesn't regularly practice that method (gunners should be with me on this one)

you wont find yourself flying at speed across the map trying to hit a target,at least a noob pilot with a joystick offers a degree of smooth flight for you're aim.

On the subject of joysticks, does anybody use the same configuration as me? I only use the main joystick and the buttons on it, and use my keyboard for throttle, rudder, flares etc. My joystick has a throttle thing and loads of buttons but I hate using them .

I use a Joystick with a combination of KB.

For choppers, immediately unmap the throttle off the joystick, and use either keys on the stick or KB. If you dont press any throttle assigned keys, the chopper will stay at 0% without losing or gaining any altitude.
