You do understand that the second you step into a jet, the game stops being an FPS, dont you? It becomes a flight "game", closer to a flight sim, than an FPS. The whole genre changes. And no, FPS games are not limited to mouse use. Someone with Windows 3.1 experience fails to remember games like DooM.

FALSE, it becomes an FPS in a cockpit. LOL, a flight sim game is exactly what its title entails: a flight simulator. BF2 is far from producing a realistic simulation of avionics. Pebbles and boulders dude. BF2+Flight-Sim is an oxymoron.Originally posted by Chris_RedfieldYou do understand that the second you step into a jet, the game stops being an FPS, dont you? Learn to read. I didnt say BF2 = Flight Simulator. I said BF2 air aspect is closer to a flight sim, than it is to an FPS. An FPS control interface and control dynamics are completely different. BF2 air controls are exactly the same as an air sim would have had.
Throttle
Rudder
Pitch
Yaw
The second you jump into the F35B, youre in a bareboned, heavily simplified flight simulator, and not a heavily modified Counter Strike game.
And by the way, DICE disagrees with you too. They added support for joysticks for the very same reason.Comment

12, don't continue wasting your time arguing with him.. it's pointless.
Chris trolls the thread shooting down all logical points simply because they don't match with his beliefs and opinions, which by coincidence, happen to be supported by his personal experience.Comment

Turn this around, baby boy. Not only do you lack proper experience in BF2 air, you were the one who went against any logic, nature or reason and stated that BF2 air aspect is extremely limited while a proper flight simulator isnt. Some of you lack even the basic common sense. My beliefs and opinions just happen to be backed up by not only my experience, but experiece of those who play competitively, or have "made themselves a name" in pub play. Not to mention that I can factually list you all strenghts and weaknesses for all peripheral devicess, in a neutral fashion. They all have strenghts and weaknesses, but when we start weighing them against each other, you can come up, if not a conclusion that turns your personal belief around, then at least some valid information to chew on.
Right now, the strongest argument you guys have had, is that you will do fine with a mouse. Funny thing is, noone has ever argued that.
Some of the most bizarre and akward "facts" have come out of the MSFS peoples proverbail mouths in this thread. Think about the content youre posting first.Comment
