The Point Of Cheating?

It seems alot of people like to think cheaters as some emotionally scared little prick who has nothing better to do. Its out of anger not reasoning.

Translation: Cheaters are real people, who just like to cheat. You're just angry because they owned you, although they were using downloadable skill to do it.

The first mutliplayer game I ever played was Call of Duty 1 and I cheated like alot of other new comers. But guess what? After a few months I gave it up simply because I discovered that it wasn't very fair and it was far more authentic when you play without them. I didn't see the point of cheating.

Translation: Everybody else was doing it, so I had to do it. I don't do it anymore, because cheating isn't fun. Although people do it for fun, just not me, because cheating isn't cool. I'm not advocating it at all. But seriously, people do it for fun, even though it's not fun to do.

Hacking isn't reserved to a minority group of people who are easy to hate, their regular players who have yet to come across a moment of sympathy for the fellow gamer. And in a online world where people regularly insult and cuss each other, its hard to find that sort of empathy.

Translation: People suck, and we treat each other like crap anyways, so why should I adhere to the basic rules of sportsmanship, when I can just join in on the circle jerk of hate? Screw communities, I'm just gonna bail for the next game, to join the thousands of other people who ruin online game communities, only to complain about them after they're eventually forced to leave.

Point being, we can throw around insults and prove our own points as much as we want (not saying its a bad thing, it's only a normal aptitude of the brain), but in the end, it all comes down to what you think is right.

True to some extent; but really it all comes down to what EA thinks is right.

600TKs for over 200 hours 80 of wich are on Wake FF OFF (force TK heaven) are "abnormal"? And i already told you that if i dont find a squad with atleast some ppl who are communicating or atleast sticking together, i will play alone.

Amusing. Remember the stats that were brought up by either Sloi or Churra in the other thread? You TK far more than we do, and I can tell you that I play on FF-ON servers and I happen to do a lot of accidental TKs. Your TK-per-Kill was still a lot higher than mine. Connect it with your jet kills matching your sniper kills and not your medic kills, and voila. Dont wiggle my friend, you were busted.

So please, stop with the act.

I know where youre coming from, but Ive never said cheating is "OK", Ive never said its "good". I agree, cheating is bad, and an unfair advantage is an unfair advantage. I am not justifying cheating since it cant be justified. But I fail to see how calling a cheater a "homosexual bastard" in light terms, is anything more than a blatant insult?

I guess i misunderstood you, i though you were saying "as long as it is the system letting down then its ok and should be considered success" im still kinda puzzled what your mean to be honest.

People who cheat are most probably just everyday Joes, they dont sell crack, they dont bang your kids and they dont kill people, and if they do, they do it separately from their game. They cheat, because cheating is allowed, and the punishment for this "crime" is mild and the risks are acceptable. I mean, if the punishment is so mild, that you can risk with yout gaming rig and your CD, then you know its the system that is at fault, not the people

If your CD key would ban your all PB supported games CD keys upon hacking, no matter which hack used, would you think people would actually think twice before risking throwing their every game into the garbage bin?

Meh in my year or so of playing this game off and on I have seen people cheat to get to the top of the leaderboard for a few days, then there is the people that do it to get to a certan rank or just to have fun but I dont know how fun that is I mean singleplayer is more fun than knifing and reviving someone.
