Re: Is a soloer a teamplayer?

A solo player can sneak by a bunch of enemy then create a squad behind lines...they can also distract a enemy squad by creating a diversion so that a whole squad can slide by, snipers work great a a single member squad also.

Han Solo doesn't fly solo. Chewbacca is his partner.

Chewbacca is there for decoration, hes the "noob gunner" were talking about. Just that Solo hasnt found that red line yet.

Even after Chewie got killed, Han picked up another gunner right away. He's a team-player.

Han Solo a teamplayer? The only reason he joined the rebels was because of the fresh PUESESWAY, Chewwy was getting old and stale!

                            Aye, Chewy isn't an expert, he's obviously just a wookie. <boom tish>

                            Back on topic:

My take on the whole saga is. A good soloer will help the team if he is good and keeps the enemy helo and armour out of the equation, allowing the ground troops to cap flags and win tickets.

However, I think the good soloer does this initially for his own personal benefit and stats because if he picks up a Noob gunner (which is 90% of the time), then his own stats are hindered and the enemy keeps their main assests in the game, such as armour and the helo's.

It's just that 10% of the time he denies a good gunner the opportunity to play as the game was intended. A pilot and gunner.

If I wanted to play for stats and stats only, I would be on Karkio throwing packs of condoms to the likeminded wh0res around me.

People dont pick up gunners because not only does their efficiency go down, their life expectancy goes rockbottom. Nobody likes to lose, and its hard to turn your back on winning if you know its not your fault.

Yeah, ok. I didn't base my opinion around stats only which is why I said "his own personal benefit". Whether this be stats, enjoyment or just not to die very often. I guess all 3 sorta boil down to the same thing though?

I agree, the probability of picking up a good gunner these days, or vice versa, a good gunner getting a decent pilot is probably in my original estimate of 10%. It's not much fun having to test drive new gunners/Pilots for 20mins only to waste an entire round respawning.

I suppose I'm in the minority of being a decent gunner who spends most of his time trying to find a decent pilot, which is when all the decent pilots now want to solo.
