^^Yeah it only takes what 60 hydras to destroy a tank? And AFAIK you have 32 Good luck with soloing in PR

ROFLMAO! Go check it again. I said you had a sub 1:1 KDR in assault rifles.

Thats basically exactly what a soloer does. Thanks for proving the point.
This some of the things you've said about my stats.

For example, your KDR is less than 1:1,which means youre a worthless player.

My KDR is 2:1, which means that I am less worthless than you. I have more chances of coming out from a firefight than you do. Needless to say, I know more about how to shoot and kill in a game, than you do.

WTF are you talking about! You play Wake Island, out of your 200 hours youve flown jets for 80!

Does "54:13:51" look like 80 to you?

Did we forget your less than 1:1 KDR?

^^ We have already established that you have problems with understanding numbers Chris. But apparently you also have issues with understanding text?

Oh and Chris, Waaah_Wah is not my only account. Just so you know.

Check any tank used nowadays. They have a mounted 12.7mm machine gun specializing for anti air. Also, tanks in real world can attack low flying aircraft such as helicopters. While BF2 is far from real life, all you need is skill, and youre a formidable anti helicopter railcannon on tracks.

No, you just single out soloers, put them into the same basket and ignore that every vehicle in BF2 has a potential to be used in a way that it would not benefit your views as a teamplayer. Get real.

You need to ask yourself, what does that unqualified and lacking soldier doing on the deck in the first place. As said, attack chopper is not your taxi ride.

Since when do we put redlining and soloing under the same definition? And Id rather have one ticket spent in exchange of dozens tickets spent on enemy side, than one ticket spared, then 2 tickets wasted and none of the enemy tickets taken. Thats exactly what happens if theres any opposition on enemies side. Also, wheres teamwork in hindering your pilots work in helping his team? Eh?

Youll know it the second you see your first target. "Youll never know" is just your inexperience talking.

But youre not giving out opinions, youre throwing around blatant claims that you cant back up. Youre giving out your opinion as a fact and if you do look for arguments to back your claim up its usually a crudely generalised, subjective opinion (again) that comes from inexperience. Like you put redliners and soloers into one group.

PR sucks. I played 2 rounds and I couldn't bear it anymore.
Just by comparing how many people play vanilla BF2 and how many play PR, you'll see it fails.

I don't recall any instance in this thread (or any recent post by me, for that matter) where I said I redline or that I even approve redlining.

Does that really matter? I mean, primary accounts - if that is your main account - are pretty accurate, and usually more accurate than secondary accounts in telling about a player.

                Really?!
Is a soloer communicating with his copilot? No, for obvious reasons….
Ok. Let's say he might be communicating with his SL or colleagues, receiving targets from them and such. This is the fortunate case, but it doesn't happen very often.
Only when it does, a soloer becomes a team player.
Is a soloer making conscious choice to help the team? Of course he is. Every kill helps.
Especially the kind of hard targets he picks (assuming he's not killing just rabbits… :p).
However, are these kills obtained in cooperation with others? I incline to say no.
Why? Because a soloer kills mostly by himself.
A good soloer is a powerful weapon in the hands of a good SL, but only when he listens.
If I'd have to make a parallel with RL: it's the same, when you talk about a bunch of people working on the same goal. Every one of them may be highly skilled in their line of work, but only working together as a group gives the best results.
There is a huge difference in the outcome between working alone and cooperating as a team.
Sure, this is only a game, so everyone can do what he wants to have fun.
However, being a team player is something that everyone needs to learn. It helps in RL, too.
The easiest and most evident example is Wake island.
If USMC is not cooperating, they get their *** kicked badly.
Same, if the Chinese don't coordinate as a team, they are overrun.
In the end: is a soloer helping the team? Yes, he is. In his own way.
When a soloer fail to be a team player? When he's not communicating with the rest of his mates.
Being good at killing stuff and helping the team is not enough.
Remember, in RL a soloer is usually avoided when building a team. That is, if you care…

It happens quite often really. A competent soloer responds to a spotted target as soon as he can. You can watch Slois and Churras videos for reference. Note, hes engaging spotted targets as soon as hes confident that hes doing so without endangering himself. Youre not a teamplayer if you rush into enemy territory, youre an idiot.

Only when it does, a soloer becomes a team player.
Is a soloer making conscious choice to help the team? Of course he is. Every kill helps.

                    Bingo, case closed.

Why? Because a soloer kills mostly by himself.
 Listen to yourself. He kills by himself because theres no other way he can kill.

Infantry spotted target, soloer responds by taking it down. Weve got cooperation, communication and a mutual effort for common goal.

If I'd have to make a parallel with RL: it's the same, when you talk about a bunch of people working on the same goal. Every one of them may be highly skilled in their line of work, but only working together as a group gives the best results.
Its easy to see who speaks of experience and whos speaking out of their rectal cavities. You apply the analogy without realising that you cant even understand the concept.

The difference in experience and personality, and specialization in certain fields nets in a well productive and versatile machine, yes. Which is exactly how soloing works.

Youve got an experienced soloer airbourne who responds to every spotted vehicle, which means that hes giving you freedom from enemy vehicles so you can do your job. Youre making a mutual effort for a micro level goal, which would be capping a flag. A pilot knows that he cant cap the flag, you know you cant take care of armor. Hes taking care of the armor for you so that youre taking care of that flag. That transfers exactly to the example youve brought and how its done in practice. The difference between soloers and crews is only the fact the number of people in the chopper and not the end result. More than often, however, you can actually rely on a soloer to be effective at what he does.

If USMC is not cooperating, they get their *** kicked badly.
Same, if the Chinese don't coordinate as a team, they are overrun.
What has this to do with soloers? Youre jumping between macro and micro level teamwork. Wake has seen its fair share of games where soloers and jet pilots work their asses off to keep the beach clean and the inability of infantry to make a push nets their effort as zero. And vice versa.

In the end: is a soloer helping the team? Yes, he is. In his own way.
When a soloer fail to be a team player? When he's not communicating with the rest of his mates.
How is he not communicating with the rest of his teammates? How do you know that? Communication with the team relies on ones PERSONAL CHOICE and not the vehicle hes using. A soloer has the potential to be just as much of a teamworker than anyone, the difference is, an effective soloer ALWAYS directly or indirectly helps the team, while a crew of two has more chances of being ineffective than effective.

Being good at killing stuff and helping the team is not enough.

That is just dumb. Thats ALL a chopper can do.

Remember, in RL a soloer is usually avoided when building a team. That is, if you care…
In RL, people create a team based on the teams needs and individual talents, people are then being thrown out if their input is smaller than the negative effect they have on the team.

Because BF2 players can care less about BF2 mods and custom content? IE, they play BF2 for stats. For example, I just downloaded OPK mod a few days ago thinking how a lot of players would be playing it. When I checked the servers, only two empty servers. I'm guessing the players just went back to BF2. Like in all game mods, it takes to time to get used to because of different gameplay dynamics. You only played 2 rounds and didn't give it enough time. Most players quit PR simply because they can't wait for 30+ second spawn times. It really isn't that hard waiting that long . Oh yeah, just because a minority of mod players, out of the BF2 population, play mods like PoE and PR, doesn't mean it "fails"...:shakehead:
