Air combat in Falcon and BF2 are completely different on all levels. Quite frankly I find the hardcore realism aerial sims just boring and tedious. I am a fan of Microsoft Flight Sim though, or at least used to be up to MSFS2002.

Youre comparing Falcon to BF2 and think its a valid comparision? It goes far beyond than even comparing a hardcore realism FPS to an arkadey FPS.

I can enjoy BF2 aerial fun without flying with a manual on my lap and concentrate on whats important, gameplay, action and fun.

I play infantry. With jets. Can't beat 100% accuracy and look-at-me-I-have-a-full-auto-SRAW style rounds.

Nope, I'm simply saying all the people who think they are the "hot ****" in planes, and how they are so 1337 that us plebs should give them the planes all the time, instead of taking one up every now and then should really go play a real flight sim game.

BF2 is a FPS, with a small combined arms element.

        If you are looking for
..unbelievably fun to be in the air, the pure 1 vs 1 competitive nature of a dogfight
Then why not play a game that revolves around air combat? IF you want arcady, look at Crimson Skies or Ace Combat.....

Do you think people play BF2 air combat because its just fun or do they do it because they want to be cyber-Mavericks? Youre crossing a fat red line between being reasonable and retarded.

BF2 is a FPS, with a small combined arms element.
BF2 is a vehicle centered FPS game with a sub par infantry aspect. Infantry is its main force and arguably the most bug riddled, ****ed up and unrelible one.

Then why not play a game that revolves around air combat? IF you want arcady, look at Crimson Skies or Ace Combat.....
I love Ace Combat, and again, youre comparing BF2 to something completely different. Theres no game out there, that has the modern feel of a battlefield in an MP environment where you can play your part in any vehicle there is, against and for anyone there is, all this while nt having to spend 4 years in flight school and not worrying about the heavy realism constraints.

If you love BF2 infantry so much, how can you be that selfless? Its unreliable, unrealistic, bug riddled and stupid. Why not play CS, COD or any other good infantry game? It was a rhetorical question by the way.

As for stats, Waah, the last time you played on a ranked server, was just a few days back. Last time I played on a ranked server was last year. I think we know who the real statwhore is.

If you didnt care for stats, you wouldnt have brought "stats" up in the first place. If you didnt care for stats, you wouldnt have spent vast majority of your time in Wake flying jets.

                Try harder.

                  Chris,

Would you play in the air if you had to land to re-arm?

Depending on the person soloing to me I guess if he is covering the map well and helping the team I'd say that he would be, on the other hand if he is just baseraping people he isnt a team player,

                      Yes sir.

Would you play on land if respawn was disabled?

Except when it is not. Reopen discussion. Just like the soloer's claim not everyone has the skill to gun, not everyone has the skill to solo properly. Sometimes it's as much of a drawback as a noob gunner.

Ive never seen an inadequate person try to solo by himself. They usually end up using FFARs only and crash in the middle of chasing a jeep.

nah dont even give them the credit of chasing a jeep, they barely get past the trees usually.
