I dunno if i can answer this question. before this summer came round, i expected myself to be playing all the time. but it was the exact opposite. i've just started playing again this week, and infact, i played more hours in the three days last week than i did over the whole summer.
So why did i start playing again? well because after not playing for a month or two, you actually see why this game is so god damn good. you dont care about the bugs, and the suposed increase in hackers (which im still to find) you look at the core of the game and what it has to offer, and its enjoyment. hard, pure enjoyment.

one game i did try the demo version of was MOH:A which went great............... i downloaded it, installed everything properly. clicked on desktop shortcut to run it and i get the following message- 'The video card you are running is not supported' wtf. it doesnt even run the game and then tell you once you start playing. im guessing that this is only for the BETA and not for the final release? ok so i got the card with my pc, which i bought a year ago, but that shouldn't be a problem. every game that i have intended to play a game on my pc i have succeeded, and theres a hell of a lot more older cards than the one i have. fact.

I got the same thing with MOH:A and I asked around and the game only supports video cards that has the 3.0 shader. Wich some of the older video cards that we probably have only has 2.0 shaders.

I play on and off with this game. But when I'm playing BF2, its usually the only thing I will play. Where as with other games I mix it up.

I only like IO if it's on 16-player size maps. Otherwise, I like city maps with vehicles. There are lots of better games if you want infantry combat. I tried the Quake Wars demo but it was hit and miss and was way too easy. I like the sniping on it, it's more like how sniping should be in games. But other things like waiting forever for special abilities to charge up or building turrets as an engineer and basically hiding by it while you keep it repaired is kind of boring, yet it's also the way you rack up the most points and kills. It's definitely better than BF2142 though. I can't believe people actually play it. It's like a fan mod that that costs money. I'm pretty much sick of BF2, but I haven't seen anything that interests me yet.

Same but that might hurt, because slowly as the servers die off and the word "insomnia" has completely abandonded bf2...there will eventually be only those lasty 8-10 players on that last server...just like the bf1942 multiplayer demo...and then...silence...a legend...gone...a gaming community....evaporated....dispersed...and none of us will ever meet again....and in 50 years or so..we will die...physically....its a funny thing to imagine some guys you know over the internet....dead.

that will take a while bf42 is stil going strong i occasionally play it

BF42 was and still is a Great game and so were the many mods made for it.
Hell there are still 1400 ppl playing it right now!!!

i'll probably won't be leaving BF2 anytime soon. i usually do take a couple weeks off every now and then just to keep it fresh.
