BF2: Special Forces

Well, I've decided to finally pick-up SF and have a quick question:

I currently have 1.22 vanilla installed; do I need to do any patching / re-installing, in order to play SF online? I don't want to patch to 1.3, so would I need to wipe BF2, re-install > install SF, then patch to 1.22 or can I safely just install SF on-top of my existing BF2?

Will SF need any separate patching / hot-fixes?

when you install SF your vanilla bf2 and SF will then be at version 1.1
you should be able to just run the 1.22 patch then. If you can find a 'full' 1.22 installer, not the smaller 'patch'.
