I've tried. I've bought several games to try to get me away from BF2. I always come back to this game. Theres nothing like the Battlefield games. Except 2142. I can't get into that no matter how hard i try.

I probably wont leave BF2, but as soon as Crysis comes out that looks like the next BF2, have you seen the detail of the game, especially on the tanks, wow!!

Its easy, just wait until your video card decides to give you the finger and don't replace it. That's what I've done. Coming to a realization that stats and ranks are pointless and mere pathetic substitutes for actual real-life achievements has also helped. ¬_¬

So today in IO Karkand there was an aimbotter, and every match was basically hurling grenades and tripping over friendly claymores. My parachute failed to deploy 3 out of 5 times, resulting in my death. Yea... tbh I'm just bored with it lately lol. Kind of sick of the BF2 kids and the glitches.

So with 2142 laying next to my keyboard, and Frontlines:Fuel of War coming out, I think I'm done with BF2. Since the game is 2+ years old, and most of you are "battle-hardened vets", when do you guys plan on leaving, if you haven't already?

idk when im quiting, probably i will get a new game or during the spring baseball takes up all my time or if i get deployed to Iraq or something. my point is if something distracts me from bf2 for a considerable amount of time i might not come bck to the game. i will probally never leave the forums.

I just lost my CD key and i have to nuke and pave. So unless I find that 2 year old paper manual then I am done forever.

That should be done before you play. Then you'll have fun whenever you play.

I'll play until I can't play any more. Or until it's over. PR sucks, IMO. DC2 was fun, but not that amazing to get spawn raped 24-7. POE2 was boring. I haven't tried other mods... so who knows? Could last forever, but my guess is 1 more year.

I did a promise that to my matura exam I won't play any game, including BF. The best of it is that 2weeks ago my bro bought me original BF and I will install it after matura and when I get new PC, it will be very hard to me:p

Im leaving when, all servers dissappear, and the vast majority of other players leave. Not much point i playing by yourself.

Its sad in some respects. Everyone going off playing different games but i would hope as i'm sure Hawkers would say, that there would still be a pubbing group for whatever game we go to next. I.e, TotalCoD4, there are quite a few members from here on there so the best part of BF2 (pubbing with people you know) carries on into another game.

I dunno if i can answer this question. before this summer came round, i expected myself to be playing all the time. but it was the exact opposite. i've just started playing again this week, and infact, i played more hours in the three days last week than i did over the whole summer.
So why did i start playing again? well because after not playing for a month or two, you actually see why this game is so god damn good. you dont care about the bugs, and the suposed increase in hackers (which im still to find) you look at the core of the game and what it has to offer, and its enjoyment. hard, pure enjoyment.

one game i did try the demo version of was MOH:A which went great............... i downloaded it, installed everything properly. clicked on desktop shortcut to run it and i get the following message- 'The video card you are running is not supported' wtf. it doesnt even run the game and then tell you once you start playing. im guessing that this is only for the BETA and not for the final release? ok so i got the card with my pc, which i bought a year ago, but that shouldn't be a problem. every time that i have intended to play a game on my pc i have succeeded, and theres a hell of a lot more older cards than the one i have. fact.
