We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
You know what? Nothing will change BF2 or the players at this point, right? We might as well just TK, RAM, Redline and tard around. Let's make this a night to remember :)
because there is no valid reason to ram, other than pure laziness or because you completely lack the skill to take out the enemy otherwise.
What skill might one be using whilst flying the Chinese or MeC transport choppers?
If I'm flying alone(passengers have jumped), and I see a tank ***** camping the hell out of my team, then its lawn dart time...problem solved, flag captured.
Lets analyze the outcome shall we?
Losses:
my team - largely useless chopper
their team - critical armor unit
Same goes for anything airborne you happen to track and destroy...more than likely it will be a target much more important than the one I'm using to ram with :)
Ramming is cheap, on par with loading a jeep with C4 and letting it off knowing your going to kill yourself!!! Once i can let you off, twice....nope!!!
Often I'm told by people that 'great pilots' will kill you in a helicopter under any circumstance.
Thats true, if you include the hundreds of times they've rammed me.
Quite honestly; going after helicopters in a jet is the most pointless thing you could do when there are enemy jets in the air. Divebombing that low to 'try' to kill a helicopter in an F35B is tantamount to suicide. Yet even the so-called best pilots I've come across seem to always find time in their busy schedule to make twenty passes at me, ending it all with an, 'unintentional' ramming, when no lock or shot was produced prior to the hit. I'm sure they 'just hit my debris' the moment after I got tired of living and pressed the durka durka suicide button which is conveniently located just underneath the, "Waste a TV-missle on a buggy J-10's hitbox" button.
If you're not a wonderfully talented pilot who is absolutely assured of an easy instant kill on a helicopter with precision machine gunning, you're probably better off not going after it in the first place, since you're only going to get yourself banned warned/kicked/banned for the inevitable ramming at the end. If you can't keep your plane steady enough to gun a helicopter down in one pass, what makes you think you have the skill to avoid it's unexpected evasion tactics?
Don't worry, they can always pin the ram on your helicopter: after all, they're not the ones flying 3 times as fast in a straight line with ample opportunity to break away...
Helos inflict more damage to the team than jets, thus I consider going into desperate attempt to "pull out at the last split second" and have an accident, acceptable. You guys are complaining a little too much about it. You know you wield terrible power when you fly a helo, and if theres a teamplayer on the other side they WILL want to take you out. After all, its the one who dies, who usually moans the most.
Ramming is cheap because its a one-shot-kill, they are all considered "cheap" by those who die. The ammount of hypocrisy in this thread is apalling though.
like buddy^^ mentioned here. the japanese did it and they were far from "skilless noobs" in WW2. personally i think its a valid tactic ftw.
Actually they were skill less noob's the japs didnt start doing that unill they lost all there good pilots and only had noobs left that could barley fly never mind do precise bombing runs with torpedos (according to the discovery channel).
raming is pretty lame. I have ramed, when it's the only option. Out of missiles, either take the initiative and kamakazi or let the person take the spawn or something. Sometimes, I'll do it. but generally speaking, I think it's lame. Put it this way, I certainly don't like the people who constantly ram with a jet. When the respawn, hop in jet, just to ram you again.
What about your machinegun, which you have either 600 or 300 shots of .

I disagree. If a pilot really knows what he is doing in a jet, then it will (after my experience) inflict more damage to the team, than a chops.
To Chugsy, why is ramming so shunned in this game?: I can tell you, my friend. This is a realistic game, which is about to stay alive as long as possible. That's also the reason why it cost money being in a clan, and the reason why clans uses real military tactics, and the reason why you can actually earn money on this game: THIS IS REALISTIC! In the real life you cant respawn. That's why.
