On ghost town, i love to have a gunner with me and my apache. Apache is the easiest and the best chopper in the game imo. But if its Reg BF2 without Apache, i don't like them... Because it's too stupid.. Gunner on a big open map.. Is just like a F R E E ride to them..
That's right 'W' for winner --much better than trying to justify using an exploit. Gotta luv these solo pilots--"we do it better alone" I guess thats why you posted the kleenex pic--to clean yourself off after going solo. :laugh: :p

3.2.1 Players may not use or exploit game mechanisms to artificially boost their score ("stats padding") and Server administrators may not knowingly allow or encourage this activity on their servers.
- switching seats back and forth to break lock
- redlining players
- using the noob ejector (aka M95 to shoot out occupants of the heli)
All those situations are exploiting game mechanisms to boost your score. If you didn't switch seats to break lock you might be hit with AA and die. Exploiting this can get you a higher kill streak, global score, lead to badges/awards etc you may not have got "as quickly" as another person who doesn't exploit it. Redlining players will give you a higher score compared to just flying the heli with a gunner. Again using the noob ejector and taking the heli for yourself.
So are solo'ers stat padders by this very definition? Solo'ing by that definition and using those methods is an exploit.They are therefore breaking the ROE and could get their stats wiped?
I'd like to see some solo'ers talk their way out of it.

stop trying to make things into stat padding. stat padding is ********, i would solo on a non ranked server too, gonna call that stats padding? one day *******es will get it into their head that most players are on ranked servers and just because someone likes to get lots of kills it doesnt mean they are doing it for points.

ive been soloing alot lately, ive got pretty good at it as well.
i know how to find a target
i know how to keep my distance from a threat and destroy it
i know how to line up the TVM screen for a shot
i know how to hit my target
i know that flying low will get me tvm'ed by another chopper, so i fly high up.
probs loads of other stuff too but its late.. maybe other ppl can add to it.
the thing is, all those **** pilots or **** gunners do not know any of that.
you either get flown so low you cant tv anything and another chopper gets you.
they fly right upto something like a mobile aa and think they will be able to kill it before it gets them.
they fly near aa sites without letting you gun or tvm them.
they point you at a target when your reloading and dive at it and smack into the ground.
the gunners spam the chaingun at everything, tanks, choppers etc
they dont shoot the tv missile when you give them a shot
if your either of those and i fancy a go in the chopper, yep i will tk you, or take you out of bounds, simply because there is no fun at all in having either a **** pilot or gunner.
oh and before you attempt to flame me... if you can gun well and know to tvm aa sites, choppers, tanks, jeeps e.t.c then i WILL let you gun. because two people that know what theyre doing can do better than a solo pilot.
if anyone wants to test to see if they have a good gunner, hover highish ~400m away from an aa site and see if they will tvm it. if they fire one then wait and give them a few minutes of tv shots (even good people can miss) to see if they are being effective.
if they spam the chain gun then just fly to the redline and get rid, u dont need a *******.
The real question is, why do you guys spend so much time arguing about something that will not be fixed? ^.^

Wow, if you consider seat switching to be stat padding, you are stupid. You actually learn LESS points then you would with a competent gunner. I solo when there are no good gunners on my side, which is pretty much every single round.
To Blud: if you honestly think that soloing is cheating, than you sir need a better definition. It is in the game, and they left it in there, even though they could easily have taken it out. I use my flares when I get locked onto, and I have had missiles hit me right after switching seats, so do not even try that angle. You are just whining, seriously, you must get owned all the time.
*EDIT* I have never tk'ed or redlined anyone to solo, or to get in the chopper, and I could never forsee it happening.

zippOr yes you can get locked onto from the copilots seat since 1.3, but the actual switching of seats whether it be from pilot to copilot or back again breaks the lock everytime you switch but obviously you can get locked back onto, just switch again to break the lock.
