G36E is the ultimate noob gun. Go ahead and use it, but don't call yourself skilled. There is no skill in a weapon with near-zero recoil, very little deviation, the firing rate of an SMG, and the damage of a decent assault rifle.

No, not all unlocks are noobish. The other unlocks take at least an iota of skill to use. But not the G36E. Oh no. The G36E whores are OK if they dont act like they're good. But if someone who always uses it says "omg im so leet", they should participate in a CAL 5v5 match. I can almost guarantee they'd get their faces rocked.

I'm quite unique in that I've made it to First Sarge playing mostly AT/occasionally spec ops.

How's that? I've almost made it to Colonel, playing mostly AT(nearly 500 hours), so I must be an enigma J/K buddy, and no offence of course.

The AK-101 is fully automatic rifle with a high-rate of fire and high damage rounds and thus is classified as a "spray n' pray" weapon while the G36E only has single shot and burst and thus classified as a aim and click weapon.

Yes the G36E is accurate but having good accuracy is a double edged sword because an accurate weapon is only useful if your aim is accurate. Also because the G36E only has single/burst you have to control you clicking rate and click for every single round unlike with the AK-101 where you can just hold the button (which is much easier and lets you concentrate more on aiming). I've lost count of the times I've run in to an AK-101/RPK/G3/PKM and they just start spraying at me full auto from range and deviation sends one of the rounds randomly in to my skull for and instant death. I never get those wild luck shots with the G36E because I fire less bullets that are much more accurate.

G36E is the best gun in the hands of a skilled player because if you can aim and control your rate of fire it's very deadly but it's also the worst gun in the hands of a n00b because you can't count on it to give you lucky headshots like all the other fully auto weapons.

All the guns take some measure of skill to use. If the game was as noob friendly as you consistently suggest, then the game would have devolved into little more than a modern day UT clone, where the reticle NEVER changes.

I am still going to say, the G36E is a great weapon. But, there are excellent alternatives. The M16 is just as good or better then G36E. I will not subscribe to the G36E being a n00b weapon, but I will submit that it does curve the bell of skill some for the less experienced player.

I have no quarrel with the Claymore (well I still wish FF was on), Grenade Launcher, Grenade spamming, or the G36E. They are all part of the game and there is always a match for each, no matter how cheap some of the kills come.

I used the G36E to close the gulf between First Sergeant and Sergeant Major. Since that time, I play less medic and have found the glory of the M16 and AK101...and even, the L85. I hated the L85, I really regretted getting that and the G3 early on. Now, I respect them all for certain situations. They are all great guns.

Lol, you lot make me laugh, the only reason you call it a noob gun is because you get owned by it! I love the G36E, however, give me any other gun and i will still do as good. The G36E in my eyes is a great all rounder.

P90 is seriously under-appreciated. It is a BRUTAL weapon when you crouch with it.

G36E.. meh.. I tried using it tonight (willingly, for the first time in months) and well.. it wasn't really that great. Accurate as hell, but it lacked the punch of the AK's, G3, PKM, M95.

My main annoyance when using the 36e is that I run out of ammo too fast..

BTW Cayden, what servers you play on? I don't think I've ever seen you..

g36e is good for pubbing. cqc is easy with it, two 3 round bursts and the person is dead. for scrims the ak reigns supreme over the m16 because of accuracy and auto.

This is so full of $hit it kills me. You will not hit crap holding the trigger with any support weapon, christ you got the PKM nerfed enough as it is. The G36e is the easiest gun to kill with period, even easier if you are an experienced player. Thats all you see lately is squads of medics running around with them. They jump, prone, fire, you're dead(before patch it would be prone fire jump prone fire, recycle). Thats the way it is, seen you do it countless times.

I'd take the L85 over the G36e anyday.

Me too. I actually broke that out for the first time a week of two ago, and I can't stop using it now. Put that sucker in single shot and watch the bodies hit the floor.

Anyhow, the SCAR-H in SF is hands down my weapon of choice. It's gotta be the closest thing to cheating in the game :laugh:

I use it quite alot, i like playing medic (no not for points but to try and keep my S/L alive) and yes it is a very good gun. But there is far better guns in the game that will own anyone holding a G36E, so its no n00b gun IMHO
