Just think of having all the possible rifle unlocks available to every kit in every version? That would be a trip playing on playing on Mashtuur and having the Famas.

People have no clue how good the weapons are in EF and SF.
Famas is fantastic. It's one of the few weapons in this game that 'feels' (in an online sort of way) real. I love the sound of that on auto. What a shame that they don't award those as a 4th tier unlock to those of us that shelled out the $10s.

Tier 4 unlocks. . . I listen to my WoW friends' conversations way too much:laugh:

actually, I usually prefer the m16 to the g36e.

I admit that the g36e is a smidge more powerful, and that can sometimes make a difference. However, something that people seem to be forgetting in these kinds of "___ gun is overpowered" threads is that in a battle between guns as simlar as the m16 and g36e:

          TACTICS > SKILL > WEAPON

People are really greatly exagerrating the differences between weapons in BF2. The main reason you're getting killed by so many g36e's instead of m16's is that people hear you whine about how powerful the g36e (or whatever) is and believe you. Then those people use it. Then you get killed more with it, and the cycle continues.

            Exactly...

That's why idiots in the J-10 think i'm hacking, because My tactics in the F-35B > them.

Your average J-10 whore just spins in circles if he knows someone is behind him. I hate that.

To add to that, there are plenty of times that people are on the MEC and want an M16 equivalent because they have trouble with the AK101.

I eat people alive with the Ak101. Anyone who can't get kills with that weapon shouldn't be legally allowed to play this game.

I hate g36e in cqc but at 30-40 metres out its deadly accurate, ak101 is my fav, will use g36e when im medic usmc but will pick up mec/pla medic kits hoping for an ak101

                    Re: G36E - Jesus Christ!

I think people are missing the point with the G36E. That weapon takes skill BECAUSE it is very accurate and has a very temperamental firing mode.

Just for an example I died on Sharqi at the Surv Post and I told one of my squadmates just to grab my kit (G36E medic) and revive me so the rest of my squad can spawn. He does as I ask and just as he revives me get clipped down and I'm sitting prone with his half-clip PKM and faced with 5 enemies head on.

In this situation with the G36E because of the triple burst, smaller clip and much lower damage rounds I would've never stood a chance and it would have been much more difficult skill wise fighting these players with the G36 because I would've had to reaim precisely five different times to dispatch them all. However back to the story with the PKM I faced the enemies (whom were all fairly close to each other) and opened up on them full auto with the PKM and within 3 seconds they were all dead. A couple of them died when I was spraying full auto near a person they were standing next to and random deviation pulled an insta-death PKM round right in to their head.

Again not denying the power of the G36E in the hands of a skilled player but rather smacking down the laughable claims that it is an "easy" gun. That couldn't be further from the truth. Now spraying a PKM or an AK-101 or RPK at someone full auto at medium to point blank ranges.. now THAT is easy.

                      Re: G36E - Jesus Christ!

Aiming at somebody is one point but if we are talking about skill with aiming weapons then we are talking about headshots when somebody goes prone and aiming at the neck. Whilst with the G36E it's just chest + burst = dead. But you've got a point that a "total" noob can't use it at it's fullest because you have to have a little aim. But the average person can get high streaks with it.

But the difference between a AK-101 and the G36E is that the Ak-101 has more recoil/deviation. Which makes it harded to kill someone from a greater distance though I love the AK-101 way more than a G36E. Just because of it's looks, sound and feeling. I'll not call anybody with a G36E a noob anymore because Planewhore has got a point that it requires a bit of aim. So at least I've changed my views on this.

My point being with most of the fully automatic weapons you don't have to even aim correctly to score a quick kill. For a newbie having a weapon that has a massive spray is usually a good thing because it allows them to go full auto, spray tons of rounds and potentially one shot the unlucky target as a bullet is randomly deviated right in to their head even without the shooter aiming correctly because the sheer amount of rounds coupled with a high deviation works to their advantage. Whereas with a G36E they'd aim off the target/aim poorly fire and hit nothing but air with a much smaller number of rounds.

Not to say weapons like the AK101 don't take skill because they do and they are also very powerful but my main point being contrary to what a couple of people have said the G36E is far less of a newbie weapon then any of the automatics.

                          Couldn't agree more

G36E works best at mid range, therefor I avoid midrange combat and take other G36E'ers with my M16/AK-101 in CQC, I get a higher rate of winning then

                          -------------

                          G36E isn't a noob weapon, but it's still unbalanced

best accuracy, lowest recoil, lowest deviation added per shot and lowest deviation added when strafing of all ARs

But all that doesn't make G36E unbeatable

1.you can always pull lucky headshots with AK-101/L85A1

2.G36E isn't the best when it comes to spraying

3.G36E Definitely doesn't have the best sights of all ARs

                          TACTIC >= SKILL > weapon

the difference is made by the player, not the weapon

I don't play games for real life. I have enough of that as it is. I play online games to pit skill against skill. According to you we may as well just play poker, yahtzee, or hearts. Also, random luck rarely makes a huge difference to me on the range. If I aim properly and use the four fundamentals of marksmanship I hit targets. If weapons had these huge deviations in real life then only a very lucky soldier would ever fire expert. In this game spraying an M249 on auto just means bullets are flying all over. If that were the case no one would ever qualify at the range. I've hit expert with the M9, M4, M16A2, M249, and MK19. I've also fired the M2 .50 cal machine gun, PKM, AK-47, SKS, and a few other weapons (there are a lot of gun nuts in the Army with the Soviet weapons, who knew?) None of them endangered the people in the lanes to my left and right due to horrible random deviation.

                                Re: G36E - Jesus Christ!

It's very simple, the G36e is the easiest weapon to handle in the entire game (therefore refered to as noob weapon by some). First of with a burst mode weapon people learn to aim and since the G36e has almost no recoil and fires so fast plus the infinte health bouns that combo is wastly superior to any other combo which of course doesn't mean one can't own with other weapons. My favorite is still the L85 (god how i wish it had burst mode).

Edit: By the way guys spraying (with occasional luck) is not an advantage. Full auto is only an advantage at very close combat, at any other distance every full auto weapon has to be fired in bursts.

I do agree that most beginners do not like the burst mode. But Bf2 doesn't take long to learn and after a very short while most people do realize that massive spray won't usually harm anyone except the air. The concept you descripe sounds kinda like supression fire to me which is highly ineffective in this game.

The different point of views may also come from a different definition of a noob weapon.
                                - it could be a weapon that players who are new use ---> prop the ak101
                                - it could also be the weapon it's easiest to get kills with ----> g36e
