I have an ATI all-in-wonder 128 pro graphic card,
my system is well beyond the requirements.

when i use to play bf2 demo i could play for hours no problem.
since i got that graphic card chip fan serviced. after 2-4 rounds
it shuts down the whole computer...

anyone know why this is?

this is the BF2 DEMO with no updates or patches installed.
as i seemed it didn't need it cause the game worked flawlessly before.

any ideas???

Dolphin diving is still very much alive after a brief shoot out with two mec medics I ended up killing one but the other got up jumped into the air then Im dead one shot in the head when he was in the air laying down and the only reason Im able to post this is because of ctd

getting disconnected once too many times, is there any talk of a 1.4.1? on my core 2 system ran better whan i ran it on 1 cpu

bf2 is like bfv all over again, except less mods. poe2 being the exception.

i think that when dice sold out it's the end of the franchise. :-(

has anyone running bf2142 beta? does it work? or is it more of the same or worse.

Yet another BS patch. It has all kinds of problems. Game play is really suffering. I'm done with these BF2 series and all their excuses after my 3rd star in 2000 Pt's. I'll play PoE it is much better. Snake

the incremental patch worked a lot better for me than the full, the full 1.4 kept crashing, but the inc. worked just fine.

After doing a clean install (BF>SF>1.4>EF>AF>1.4) of the full 1.4 patch I have experienced the following problems:

Server crashes
Map loading freezes on 0% or is extremely slow
Connection loss
Lag
Hits not registering (deffinately direct hits)
Join button doesn't always work
Menu sometimes goes in slow motion
'Problem With Your Connection' consistantly pops up on screen
Medic sound looping when pack picked up
Has sat on 'connecting to account server' screen, resulting in me having to shut down computer

Took another players medic kit to revive them, revived them, so they had my sniper kit, they died, then revived them again and they had switched back to their original medic kit.

Would it hurt for EA/Dice to get it right just once?! It's painfull to see how they're ruining this great game.

cant install the bugger.

ive got the full update.

at first i installed it ontop of the intial installation.

no joy. its still saying when i open the game its the same old version and giving me the "upgrade to 1.4 window"

So ive twice tried uninstalling and reinstalling, rebooting inbetween each stage, and then patching. but no joy. still the same.

any suggestions?

Okay, today is the first time I played over the internet with my home machine. Before that I had upgraded my private lan game room (4 computers & 1 dedicated server) with 1.4. We were playing the Allied Intent mod and had suffered no problems. I get home and try that I get:

-Lag (not to bad)
-Hits not registering (definately direct hits - I was an engineer and was close enough to the sniper to see his gillie suit strands - and I missed even though the crosshair were on his chest?)
-Join button doesn't always work (this happened on 1.3 too, would have to click it twice)
-'connecting to account server' screen, resulting in having to shut down the computer

that last one was a severe HORK because I could not end process or anything, I had to physically power off my box. Bad, really bad!

The worst part is I was playing a great map, with a well balanced team and had some decent points. I hit escape to go the main screen and it took me to the account selection screen. That's when I got the connecting to account server error and what I'm now calling the HORK OF DEATH. I was not playing a mod, I was just doing Wake 2007 Vanilla BF2. I was hoping the points would show up on my account, but it's been over 4 hours and still nothing.

I'm going to try some more tonight, but I don't see what the difference would be between a dedicated local and a dedicated server. Unless it is something to do with the account server (maybe it is an error with the "forcing unlocks on unranked servers" bit).

I tried to watch some old match demos of games played before 1.4 but in my community page they are red, when I load them it gets all the way up to where it would say join game and ctd. Demos of games played after 1.4 load fine.
Sawa guy lying on top of the USA UAV on Oman 16 player, UAV was c4ed and the guy survived, the UAV did not.
Also seeing a lot of monged up arms on players running around, look like they're doing walk like an egyptian.

Bug with squads is back. Also single player just drives ya crazy when playing. Its like lag, running go to turn and just keep running straight. Doesn't happen in MP. This has been around since 1.3.

idk about you guys....but i've been getting terrible frame rates since this patch......my frames lock up for about a second, about 10 sec's apart. It made the game unenjoyable.:hmm: but before the patch i had no problems at all. anyone know how i can fix this?
