    Right....

It is bad becouse the purpose of the game is that one side has more flags so wins the round not that you spawn rape them for some points. But if the other team has ZERO flags left than it is NECESSARY to attack the main base, execute them, and dont let them bleed for another half an hour. I think its fair this way.

Lol... it seems like so many of the people who use the "fun" argument, are in support of attacking uncaps.

How much "fun" is it for the other team to die repeatedly when spawning?

Then the argument is "use team work." And that's a joke and a half. Have you ever played on a public server? One lonely SL is not going to make 15 lone wolves suddenly cooperate as a team to counter uncap spawn raping. FFS, commanders barely have the opportunity to command because teams want to "have fun" and "get points."

As stated earlier - if you don't like the uncap rules or lack of them, find a different server. Destroying assets and killing the commander is one thing - even stealing vehicles. But decimating the other team's chance of even capping a flag, or playing, is no fun for them, and essentially rather tactless, skilless, and classless, imho.

:edit: Plus you need to consider someone with some uber computer who can spawn in 5 seconds at the beginning of the round, hop in a plane or helo and just halt any hope of the other team making it anywhere near a flag. By then, this spawn-raper's entire team can spawn, take flags, and join the rape.

Its a tool for people with no skills to gather points with no risk. Of course, in some cases, like F35B grounding the J10, its a desperate defensive move.

People need to get over spawn raping. If you cant shoot your way our of a tight spot then spawn somewhere else. The US carrier has 2 spawn ploints, choose one of them. Karkand has 3 uncaps, people only go to the nearest one so spawn somewhere else!

It's not fun at all, in fact it sucks. I never said it was fun for the other team. It's not my job to make the opposition have fun...quite the opposite actually.

But seriously, in all honesty I rarely use any of these lame tactics, because I enjoy a challenge and a player that actually can fight back. But I think you can see my points bring out things that are possibly wrong with the game, and highlight poor design. That said, I will never ***** or complain about any tactic used to kill me. If it's in the game, I expect it to be used against me. It's just another challenge to overcome.

Re: Why is attacking an uncap bad?

its not about fun, its not about point whoring, its about combat support. sometimes it hurts your team alot to uncap base rape, sometimes it helps alot. its part of the game and one of two things needs to happen.

dice needs to announce to the community, thier intentions with uncaps and needs to decide one way or the other. they either need to:

-remove uncap defences and commander assets and put up a kill zone, so the enemy cant enter that area

                      OR

-remove those ******** admin rights from the roe and let us attack the enemy whereever, whenever, or however we want.

-fix the jet hitboxes pertaining to aa.

it seems obvious to me that people make no uncap rules because they dont want to play the game the way it was intended. they want a safe haven, which is not what the battlefield is about. lets take wake for example, do you honestly think its fair to tell people they cant attack the carrier while its perfectly fine for you to attack thier main base? cuz its not.

                        Sure pal.

Keep on trucking away at the carrier.

You have yet to refute my logic, so you resort to name-calling. It's ok, I understand some things are difficult for lesser minds to comprehend. By the way, you missed my post where I said I don't personally resort to these tactics, may want to check that out before making yourself look worse.

its combat support, if i wont let the enemy take off, he cant harm my team. its the basics of air dominance, hit um on the ground so you dont need to fight um in the air.

man i haven’t read any constructive criticism coming from you, only negative meaningless insults toward anybody that disagrees with you or calls you on something. get off your high horse and practice what your sig preaching and quit crying.

okay back on topic. if you compete in ladders then it can be used as a practice tool to defend against during match play. if pubber can't handel the heat then A: buy your own server and run it whichever way you want or B: there are 5646448976 servers out there pick one that makes you happy.

If you want to do it, go ahead. Just don't cry when you kicked from the one of many servers that enforce it.
screw that, if players are sat there, they get bombed and strafed. if a base needs attacking, it needs attacking, simple as. all the babies can stay on their ****ty safe haven servers :)
